Adirondack History Museum - Elizabethtown (NY)

4 /5 Roger Mak: I learned something new about the history of Adirondack here. There are 46 peaks, the tallest one being the Mount Marcy, and many others are over 4,000 feet high. The first convention of women rights was held here in 18xx. If you love Adirondack, you must visit here even though it isnt a large museum by any standards.

5 /5 Erica Yaworski: This museum was a lot of fun! It is unique to start with in that it was an old high school that’s been converted into a museum AND also has its own climbable fire tower. There were also many exhibits despite the museums size, all of which which were interesting and very well done/laid out. They also cover quite a broad range of different things in their exhibits which I thought was cool and have tons of really neat old artifacts and equipment like a vintage printing press, fire truck and horse sleighs to name a few. My favorite is of course the permanent Arto Monaco exhibit! It gets 5 stars for that alone in my book. May Arto never be forgotten!!

3 /5 Karethra Bex: They were closed on Monday when we arrived. It was a spur of the moment stop based on other reviews. It looked like there are open Thursday through Sunday

5 /5 Quinn Schindler: I went up to long lake for a family vacation and it was fun! We loved to pull the rope that blows the horn on the train we fed the fish saw the boat house! I am not Sure How much it costs without a membership.
