Apprehensive Dental Care - Jackson Heights (NY)

3 /5 Cynthia Junes Santos: I came here due to location and based on the good reviews. (Note: I mainly come for general cleaning). The staff is friendly, and Dr. Yelena does a good job. The only downside and the reason I knocked down 2 stars is due to the fact that the wait time is ridiculous possibly due to overbooking and only 1 doctor. They should book accordingly. I understand that sometimes clients can be late or emergencies can arise but 2-2.5 hours is too much (this is a regular thing in this office btw) - I’ve been here a couple times since I’ve used her services for myself and my 2 kids and the wait time is the same every single time.

1 /5 paola Medrano S: Honestly I don’t know how it has decent reviews. The waiting time is crazy 2.5 hrs for a cleaning. The booking system is a mess, she gave me the same time for my husband and I for the same procedure with only 1 dr. The staff is very nice and helpful but spending the whole afternoon doesn’t sound like a good plan Also my husband did a cavity, it was some material left between teeth when we went to the office he had to wait more than an hour.

5 /5 Nathaniel Zhou: I had my front tooth chipped when I was ten and it had remained so for the rest of my life. I had considered fixing it before but was always wary of the risks involved (one doctor suggested knocking the whole tooth off before installing a new one). Thankfully, I came across Dr. Pinkhas who offered to install a crown over my chipped tooth during a routine cleaning. After much deliberation and some procrastination, I finally made up my mind to go through the procedure. There were actually two stages involved. First, the doctor installed a temporary crown which I had to wear for two weeks. It was made of plastic and for two weeks everything I ate had a hint of synthetic recalcitrance. After two weeks, I went in for a second procedure and had my porcelain inserted. It looked exactly like the tooth I chipped decades ago! It looks so perfect that I can hardly recognize myself. I am very happy with the procedure and I applaud Dr. Pinkhas for her expertise and professionalism.

5 /5 Steven Ramirez: I made the best choice to find a different dentist. Dr. Yelena is thorough, caring, professional and also very knowledgeable. I received perfect care for my fillings and crown! She definitely does a detailed and complete job, its like she is a perfectionist! Additionally, the office, receptionist, rest of the staff are great and minimal wait times. Thank you!
