Cassie Webb: What a beautiful spot. Im from the Geneva, NY area, and when I learned August 7th happened to be National Lighthouse Day, I wanted to visit one Id never seen before. I visited with a group of elderly, ambulatory individuals and although the museum was closed, the information posted outside across several podium-type info graphics tucked between flower beds on a solid pathway. I would say the area is wheelchair accessible, but I cant recall seeing access to the museum. The view over the marina is beautiful, Im sure its worth going back to see when the trees change and the museum is open. Thanks for making our National Lighthouse Day memorable.

Maikel Jose: Highland Park in Rochester truly lives up to its reputation as an urban oasis. Its simply amazing! Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the park masterfully blends stunning natural landscapes with peaceful serenity. Wander through meandering paths under mature, towering trees, discover hidden gardens bursting with color, and find countless quiet benches perfect for reflection or reading. The air feels fresher here, filled with birdsong and the gentle rustle of leaves. While world-famous for its spectacular Lilac Festival in spring, the park offers breathtaking beauty year-round – vibrant magnolias, serene ponds, vibrant fall foliage, and peaceful winter vistas. It’s impeccably maintained yet feels wonderfully wild, providing a vital escape from city bustle without leaving Rochester. Whether seeking a vigorous walk, a quiet picnic spot, or simply a moment of calm surrounded by nature, Highland Park delivers an exceptional, restorative experience. A genuine treasure!

Jenny Twardowski: A well-maintained, family-friendly trail that leads to multiple small waterfalls. The terrain is mostly flat, with only one noteworthy hill. It had very little mud, even after heavy rain. I look forward to returning!

Alisa M Oldacre: Great place for nature and wildlife fanatics, as well as history buffs! The trails are awesome, winding through wetlands, dense forests, and fields of wildflowers. Theres a historical house and conservatory building on-site, with lots of educational stations that highlight the history of the area and the wildlife within the park. There are clean restrooms, tons of parking, and even picnic shelters. Great place to spend the day!

Selena Jackson: Where else can you marvel at our Creators wonderful works, especially the water cycle wrapped up in the clouds. We gze at the sky as the cloud formations make us wonder about the questions God posed to Job. Job chapter 38, verse 336 & 37 asks: "Who put wisdom within the clouds Or gave understanding to the sky phenomenon? Who is wise enough to count the clouds, Or who can tip over the water jars of heaven...." Come to Charlotte Pier often and gaze in wonder!!

Cirrus Sanofi: Rochetser is a small town and you wont find anything special, but the Main St is definitely interesting with the diverse architecture and the sign I Love ROC, it creates a meeting point in the city and a feeling that there is some kind of center here. The whole park around is very nice, new and nicely lit up in the evening.
