5 /5 Marion NYC: Such an easy hike with a phenomenal view! You can bring a light snack or wine and just admire and take in the view. It’s so easy to go with young kids but be careful. There is rail or guard so you have to keep your eye on them. There is some seating. There are remnants of the old hotel if you Look. The history of it all is interesting! I recommend this place for the amazing view!

5 /5 Brit F: Such a beautiful view when you get to the site of the old Catskill Mountain House. There are multiple trails stemming off from the site area that give a nice added adventure. There is at least 2 different trails to get to the site, one from the kaaterskill falls overlook trail system (a pretty big hike) and an easier trail if you drive around north/south lake and park by the beach or at the pavilion right below the trail. Views are immaculate and there are information boards explaining the history of the site with images to accompany. Make sure you also check out the rock/cliff area by the edge where you can see various names and dates carved into the rock that show a bit of history. A cool little slice of NYS history. (Also be on the lookout for the two flashing lights over the Hudson River, that is the Rip Van Winkle bridge!) NYS park rangers do have to lock the gate at the end of this side of the lake at 9pm so make sure you prepare beforehand or you will have to wait until the morning when they unlock to get your car out.

Richard Gard: Cute statue selfie-background. The town is almost empty with evidence of Redevelopment builders and bond salesmen coming through years back- cute cat statues everywhere displaying cat skills. We were glad we saw it all and the water views.

Kaaterskill Falls, Viewing Platform - Palenville

Sharon Trinidad: The Kaaterskills falls is very doable, me and family walked the mile to the falls, then hiked down to the falls, we took about 3 hours, only because we stopped for breaks. It was killer walking back up from the falls, the steps up were so steep. I thought it was worth it, loved it! Nice to check off the bucket list!

The Old Catskill Game Farm - Inn & Campsites - Catskill

Jesse Bisceglia: I found adventure at Catskill Game Farm. Exceeded expectations.... which were already high! Exploring the grounds and buildings was a blast and super interesting. Being able to roam around this place that was once so different was a once in a lifetime thing. Really enjoyed it. I ran into staff members who enhanced the experience a lot with their friendliness and conversation. We stayed at the Mountain View Tenterr site, which was great. If youre interested in urban exploring sort of things, its a must do.

Bailiwick Animal Park and Riding Stables - Catskill

Lionel Jenkins: I was there over the weekend for Cinco de Mayo they had a food truck there. Serving Mexican food was outrageous and also they had a margarita bar set up. Plus youre able to walk around the park to see the different animal. It was fun. Nice people that run the place so if he in the area I recommend going plus they had horseback riding

Kaaterskill Wild Forest - Saugerties

Sompob Prasertkun: I’ve seen this in the picture for awhile. My friend took me there. It was about 2 hours drive from nyc in Catskills area. She said parking lot would be so full on weekends. We start walking to see the overlook first. Then continue to walk down to the lower part. The trail is in good condition. We went on a dry day. I imagine it will be very slippery when it rains. Walk was pleasant. Then we walk up to see each level. You can enjoy dipping your feet in the water or you can go down to play in the water. Is such a beautiful place. I highly recommend. But be ready to walk upstairs take your time because it could be steep. You might lose your breasts. Hope you enjoy.

Kunjamuk Cave - Speculator

Dominic Artuso: Really cool experience with this cave! Heard about it while on vacation and took a trip to visit it with friends. Has a nice trail leading up and a bridge with river view. The cave is pretty small but still neat to see and take some nice photos!
