The park itself is absolutely beautiful — so much greenery, peaceful walking paths, bridges, lakes, and hidden spots that make it feel like a little world of its own. It’s perfect for a relaxing walk, family outing, or just some quiet time in nature. One of the highlights of our visit was the horse carriage ride. It felt like something out of a movie! The driver was kind, knowledgeable, and shared fun facts about the park as we rode along. The horse was well-kept and seemed calm and cared for, which was important to me. It was a slow, relaxing pace, and we got to take in the sights without having to walk the whole time. It was romantic, peaceful, and such a unique way to experience the park. Definitely worth it if you’re visiting for the first time or want to make your trip extra special. Tip: Bring cash for tips, and consider going around sunset — it’s magical.

5 /5 Blaise Asanga: Central Park offers a great experience with fantastic playgrounds and ample space for dogs. The picnic areas are beautiful, perfect for relaxing outdoors. However, the mobile restrooms I encountered during a marathon werent very clean. Overall, its a wonderful urban escape.

5 /5 Gideon Bernthal: Came here after Pokemon Go Fest and had a great time. Park was a little crowded as it was the meeting place for Pokemon Go and the end of a 10k run. Other than that this park is amazing. It’s very large and beautiful. Tons of things to see and many things to do.

Tenement Museum - New York

Gregory Barbera: This was super interesting. Being from New York knowing the layers of history it has, it was super cool to see this time capsule. The tours are an hour long where you go into an apartment or space and really talk about the tenants that lived there. Purchasing tickets were easy, and everyone there was super nice. Our two docents were just incredible!!! We loved the 1st one so much we went back in to go on a second tour. Now, I am going on a deep dive from that time frame in NYC.

Intrepid Museum - New York

Carlos Encarnacion: A really impressive museum! Added benefit of been able to also explore a submarine which I didnt expect. The size of the aircraft aboard is quite amazing and gives an unique perspective thanks to various narration of crew members. We almost miss actually exploring inside the ship as the entrance to see the sleeping quarters, were they drop anchor among other rooms. Be sure to explore every cranny in the ship to get the most out of it. Sadly one of the areas was close when we went which house the 4D experience. Really great museum to visit and should be on your list to check out if going on a trip to Manhattan.

Edge - New York

Jacqueline Harvey Ewusi: Visited during the week day. Visibility was low for a while due to the rain but it cleared up enough for the tour. The view is definitely breath taking non the less. Small groups of people were there and it can get crowded very quickly. Picture taking can be very coordinated. The staff were patient and friendly. The champagne was not bad at all. The overall experience was great. The night time view is definitely better with the whole city lit up. Cameras are allowed so I do suggest bringing one to take your own photos of the moment.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art - New York

Michael Rollins: It was one of the best galleries Ive ever visited. An incredible amount and diversity of works. There is so much impressionism and post-impressionism, which is exactly what I was looking for. It really deserves multiple trips to fully appreciate all that its got to offer. Theres plenty of restrooms and cafes so its a comfortable place to visit. Staff were polite and welcoming, and it was really quick to get inside despite the large number of people there.

The New York Historical - New York

Vida by Vivian: We didnt want to go to a big museum and this was perfect. Great photography of New York, several exhibits on photography, womens clothing through the ages, Tiffany Lamps, and more. It is next to Central Park, so it a beautiful location.

RiseNY - New York

Anissa Cleaver: RiseNy is awesome! The museums exhibits on the subway system, radio, and news media were incredibly informative, and that 4D ride was breathtaking. Its amazing how it provided such a fantastic view of the city. Philadelphia would greatly benefit from having a similar museum.

Whitney Museum of American Art - New York

FurY: Im a big fan of the Whitney Museum—its architecture alone is worth the visit, with open spaces and breathtaking city views. The Whitney Biennial never fails to impress, offering daring and insightful contemporary works. What truly stood out during my visit, though, was the Alvin Ailey performance. It was an unforgettable experience—full of life, rhythm, and creativity. The fusion of dance and art was exhilarating. Definitely a must-see!

Madame Tussauds New York - New York

Elana Davis: Enjoyable, self paced. The wax reproductions are very realistic, almost creepily so. The least expensive tickets were $100 for 2 people. I guess in NYC, that is considered reasonable, although Im not convinced it was totally worth it. My 14 year old didnt seem to like it, and I probably would have enjoyed it more if they had been into it. I did get some fun pictures, though. Also, the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Conservatory Water - New York

Robson Carvalho: Conservatory Water in Central Park is a peaceful and picturesque spot, ideal for relaxing or enjoying a slower pace in the city. Known for its model boat sailing, it’s a great place to sit by the water and watch the small sailboats glide across the pond. The surroundings are clean, calm, and beautifully landscaped, with benches and shaded areas to unwind. Located near the Alice in Wonderland statue, it’s a perfect stop during a Central Park stroll. A hidden gem that captures the serene side of New York.

Waterfalls Central Park - New York

Rosa Hamblin: No waterfalls to speak of. Local city workers and police officers present had no clue what we were asking about when we asked for clarity on directions to the falls. This corner of Central Park was pretty, but watch your step! Homeless use the ground as their potty.
