5 /5 Bryan French: Stopped in for the first time today for a much needed morning of reflection and grounding. I felt totally welcomed and invited. I was greeted by a gentleman shortly after sitting in a pew who introduced himself and welcomed me. Having been raised Methodist it was a change but a positive one. I grew up in a contemporary congregation so this more formal one was really enjoyable and unique to me. This church seems to be very inclusive and LGBTQ friendly. The music was absolutely beautiful and you could feel the Holy Spirit in the church. The Rev. Dr. Steven Moore introduced himself to me at the end of the service but I had an engagement so I wasn’t able to connect for long. His sermon was phenomenal. Very much needed this week. I am excited to learn more about the Episcopal Church and it’s beliefs. I love that communion is open to all baptized Christians. The congregation is very diverse and reflective of this city. I will definitely be back and possibly making this my new home church.
