1 /5 Myoshi Richardson: My first experience at the salon was great, and my service was done by the owner, Kadeisha. However, during my next two visits, I encountered an issue. Although I specifically booked with Kadeisha, she contacted me the day before each appointment to inform me she wouldn’t be available and instead referred me to a stylist named Azzy.
If Kadeisha is unavailable on certain days, I believe she should remove her availability from the booking site to avoid confusion and frustration. While Azzy is a kind person, I don’t feel she has the same level of expertise when it comes to caring for natural hair. Her focus seemed to be more on the finished look rather than the health of the hair.
Unfortunately, after receiving services from Azzy, my curl pattern was noticeably damaged due to excessive heat. My hair no longer felt the same, and I was very disappointed with the outcome. I’ve had several silk presses before without any damage, so this was especially disheartening.
If you have natural hair and are looking for occasional silk presses without compromising your hair’s health, I would not recommend this salon. It feels like there’s more emphasis on creating social media content than truly prioritizing the care and health of Black women’s hair.
