1 /5 Caitlin LaRussa: Zero stars. Total nightmare. Do not go. Took my partner in yesterday at 1p because we thought she had appendicitis. They had her waiting in a hallway for two hours before being seen at all with no updates or anything. Finally took her back and I was not allowed to go with her. She was there for ten hours, alone in a chair sitting next to other ill patients. No privacy, no bed (for anyone). Sitting right next to unmasked and coughing patients. No ability to be a safe distance away. Throughout the day, her and everyone else’s private health information was discussed openly in the hallway. Total HIPAA violation. At the end of it all, they forgot about her for 1.5 hours and then when she asked what was going on, they said “oh yeah you can go”, as if it was her fault that she hadn’t just asked sooner. They released her with “Tylenol” as a discharge plan and did not give her any of her test results, nor did they check to see if she had any understanding of what was going on with her health. She left crying, scared and confused. I had to go back in there and ask for her test results and the doctor (a tall, white, doctor of osteopathy - beware! - did not get his name but will definitely follow up) was incredibly dismissive and acted like I was being a bother. When I complained, he literally walked out of the room and told me I could talk to patient services. Never ever again. Also, good lord! If you don’t have the capacity to treat patients in an acceptable manner, please say so upfront so people can go elsewhere! For what it’s worth, the woman at the front desk was lovely and an amazing advocate. I would have lost my mind if not for her.
