06-2025 Comet in Hight rate 18 location for tourist in Queens, NY, USADaleys Adventure Boat Tours - Queensbury Margaret Kennedy: We booked a 3 hour tour. Captain Steve was AMAZING! He even took us to a special slide because my child had told him he never got to go on a water slide. We spent the time tubing, swimming and cliff diving. I especially loved his knowledge of the lake and some great stories about it. I highly recommend utilizing this tour company as they provide the best experience and truly care about the people they are serving. Will most definitely book again!
Funarama Fun Park - Lake George Carlos Zambrano: This is a decent place for younger kids, it has a few smaller rides. There is also an arcade attached to it. The only thing that I didnt like is that there didnt seem to be anybody in the arcade to help you out when we were there. It seems that they only want a small amount of staff working there. The ticket machines are all cash and the ATM has a $3 charge to take money out.
Lake George Winters Dream at the Fort William Henry Historic Fortress - Lake George Kevin Hanselman: Family had an amazing time! Kids thoroughly enjoyed the “Cabin of Dreams” - trying to fill every square. Wife said she hasn’t felt this relaxed in a long time - just being able to listen to the wonderful music and watch the lights and enjoy the experience was very calming for her. Personally I had a great time just watching them all enjoy their experience! Overall a wonderful experience.
Peppermint Museum - Lyons Gwen: Patty was an amazing tour guide. Her enthusiasm and knowledge really made our tour special. Aside from the peppermint museum she made several recommendations for other nearby interesting places to check out. It was well worth our time to stop here.
Abbey Park - Lyons Jeffrey Cellini: Park is part of the Empire State trail that runs alongside the Erie Canal; picnics tables and a pavilion are available for social events;
Blue Cut Nature Center - Lyons Peter Goff: Blue Cut is great! Nice, short loop - usually takes about 30 minutes. There are pavilions farther back that could be nice for a secluded party. The county has a firing range on North-East side, just over the ridge - its well used especially around 8 or 9 in the morning. Id recommend avoiding if you or your pups are boom-triggered. Theres also a marsh on the South-West side that can get kinda buggy around the trails. Dont miss the super cute fairy trail that the local girl scouts put together!
UPDATE: The fairy trail is looking pretty bedraggled and is need of some upkeep. I cant seem to contact the group, but if you can, please pass this along!
Huckleberry Swamp - Lyons Abdulla Saleh: Early spring visit to the huckleberry swamp was peaceful and quiet. Very few birds were seen since the plants have not bloomed yet. There were a few muddy spots but the trail is mostly decking and easy to avoid the muddy areas.
