Dentist Dr. Monica Barrera DDS - New City (NY)

5 /5 k c: I found Dr Barrera on Google. I was impressed with her reviews and took a leap of faith. She has turned out to be one of the most caring and professional dentists that I have ever been to. Her office is clean and bright. Her technique and the materials that she uses are the best I have encountered. She clearly has a passion for dentistry, loves what she does and takes pride in her work. The work I needed involved several crowns. I have had crowns made before but never so carefully or thoroughly. She took the extra time to build the proper foundation and fit them exactly at the gum line and also spent the time making sure my bite impressions were done correctly. Needless to say the crowns came out beautiful. They look like and feel like real teeth growing out of my gums and they all fit together with my natural teeth. She is also is genuine in her caring about her patients, having checked in on me herself a few times to see how I was healing. If you are in pain like I was, or anxious about seeing a dentist, as I was, please call Dr Barrera, She will take very good care of you.

5 /5 Joan C.: On a scale of 1 to 5 Dr. Monica Barrera is a 10+. I have been her patient for over 20 years. Never have I left her office without feeling how lucky I am to be in her very capable hands. When our dentist retired my husband, who was in the dental supply business, felt strongly the he knew who we should use. He described Dr. Barrera as someone who purchased only the best, most hi tech equipment available. It was also obvious to him that she was sterilizing her equipment more than most of the dentist he dealt with. I quickly decided that she was the one for us. She has taught me so much about the importance of caring for your teeth and the ramifications to your health as a result of neglecting your mouth. In addition, she has done this in the most caring gentlest way - always taking the time to explain what she was doing and why. My husband and I both feel that we hit the jackpot with Dr. Barrera

5 /5 Josefa R: Dr. Barrera is truly fantastic! She does an incredibly thorough job of explaining every single little thing she is doing while she works. She cares a lot about her patients understanding and makes sure to give great explanations about her treatments so you are left with zero doubts. She really makes you feel at ease, which from my experience, is rare at a dentists office! Dr. Barrera is so sweet and wonderful that I continue to visit her office even after moving to Connecticut. I would definitely recommend her

5 /5 Justin Wexler: Any stereotypes of your typical dentist experience are quickly forgotten after your appointment with Dr. Barrera. She is an incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and experienced dentist who is always making sure that you are comfortable and getting the right treatment for you. As someone who always likes to know the details, she is always more than happy to answer any questions I have. I have been going to Dr. Barrera for over 10 years now, even during the few years when I moved Maryland and Connecticut. Thankfully shes incredibly flexible and understanding when it come to schedules. Now, even living in NYC, I plan to continue to return back to Rockland and Dr. Barrera for all my regular dental work.

5 /5 Nicholas Miras: I had originally gone to a different dentist for my dental work, but decided to go to Dr. Barrera to have my crown replaced. From this point forward, I will never go to another dentist than Dr. Barrera. She is - hands down - the best dentist I have ever seen and is as painless as they come (and this is coming from someone who has hated going to the dentist since I was a teenager). From the very beginning, Dr. Barrera was incredibly thorough and made it her top priority to give me the best tooth and smile possible. Not only that - but she also makes you feel very comfortable and is proactive in letting the patient know exactly whats going on each step of the way. You wont be sitting there scared that something is about to be painful. Also, Dr. Barrera goes above and beyond to not only examine and fix your teeth, but to educate you as to what you need to do better and why its important for your overall health. As for my crown, she went to great lengths to ensure that I was getting the most beautiful tooth possible. Her work went way above and beyond any experience Ive ever had with a dentist before. She is more than a dentist, she is a true artist. The crown that she crafted for me looks incredible and far surpassed all of my expectations. For the first time that I can remember, people now look at my teeth and are unable to determine which is real and which is a crown. Moreover, even the temporary crowns that she made for me while I was waiting for the permanent crown to arrive from the lab looked amazing (my friends and family were shocked when I told them that the tooth they were looking at was only a temporary!). I will continue to go to Dr. Barrera from this point forward. I wouldnt even think of going to any other dentist. She is truly a master of her craft. The scariest thing about going to Dr. Barrera is that you may start to love going to the dentist!
