marcela gomez: Their treatment for patients is 4 stars both in the Emergency Room and in hospital stay āļø āļøāļøāļø But they are extremely far away that you need to take the B12 bus to and from the last subway train stop on the 6 train and make sure you’re at the correct bus stop leaving this hospital because there are 3 bus stops that only certain B12 buses stop at and they will not stop to pick you up regardless if it’s 2am if they don’t make stops there EVEN THOUGH NONE OF THESE STOPS EXPLAINS THIS; and the wait is long and scary late at night so for this I give them zero stars. My last point is at this hospital for some insane reason a psychiatrist has more authority over a Medical Doctor who only works morning shifts Monday through Friday who clears your loved one to be released but then comes a lower level doctor in the evening who rejects the patient’s release due to a psychiatrist wanting to put your loved one on yet more medication WHICH IS THE REASON FOR THEIR ADMISSION TO BEGIN WITH which is medications are cause of your loved one’s fainting spell, constant stomach pain, headaches, and anxiety that prevents them to drink fluids or eat food. *****UPDATE****** after an entire day of bugging the nurse about finding out when would a doctor or psychiatrist come and talk to us for clarification they finally sent someone to explain that they were keeping my loved one over night again just to see how he’s doing on just one medication that had nothing to do with why he was admitted allegedly but it is wonderful news and my final review is Jacobi hospital staff/ nurses, ER nurses/Doctors are āļø āļøāļøāļøāļø and their main doctor is clear and knowledgeable but who only works day shift is āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø but the tedious wait in communication is 1 āļø. Regardless of the long wait I recommend this hospital over others including Essence Lincoln Mount Sinai & NYU.

M W: I don’t want to mention any specific nurses’ names but my first visit was okay. Then the nurse I had left the practice and I was not even notified. The second nurse I saw was pretty much fat shaming me because I am overweight. Then my latest visit .. the nurse was ok but she got mad because I called her nurse. I understand she is an FNP but as a patient I figured calling her nurse followed by her last name was sufficient. So based on my two previous encounters, I will not be going back to this location again. These nurses need to be sensitive to the patients’ needs and learn to communicate properly. I also feel as if they don’t really listen to my issues much when it comes to my health.

Jasmin Sanabria: Don’t go to this hospital!!! The worst staff and incompetent! Ive had two really bad experiences with this hospital. The first I hurt myself and felt I had a hernia. I was in extreme pain. After the c.t scan they told me there was nothing wrong. The doctor was very arrogant and insisted I was fine and sent me home. I went to Lenex hill hospital and turns out I had two hernias and one was strangulated. I needed immediate surgery. Second more recent experience I went to the emergency room with dangerously high blood pressure for two days after a bad fall 2 weeks prior suffering from a concussion. It was the afternoon. The staff was very rude and slow, they ignored the fact that my pressure was high and showed a lack of experience. They never treated my pressure and only checked it once in the 6 hours I was there. And said it wasn’t high enough at the time they checked to be an emergency even though it was way above the normal rate. And I couldn’t lower it on my own for two days. I told them it was fluctuating between 145/95 to 179/115 throughout the day even going to 205 but was sent home. I had to go to another hospital later that night.

Leesa O: MUST READ!! IF YOU HAVE A CHILD BELOW THE AGE OF 18YO, DO NOT! TAKE THEM TO LINCOLN HOSPITAL. They have no pediatric psych department for children. When you get there, they ask you whats wrong, depending on how bad your child is going through something, they drug them and or strap them down and leave them in the back. These children sit or lay in an open, but isolated area in the back with no doctor or therapist to talk to for days. Other than a Psych doctor coming in around 9-10am to call their name and ask, "Do you feel like hurting yourself or others"?. If they say no, they go home. But God forbid they say yes or you allow them to be admitted. Then they will be trapped there for days on end with nothing to do or anyone to talk to, no diagnosis or actual mental health treatment because the whole time you will be "waiting for a bed" at another hospital that actually see pediatric psych patients. They wont discharge your child for you to take them to another hospital yourself because they were marked for admission and cant leave unless by them in an ambulance to go to the other hospital. "According to their policy " While there they use coercion, threats of calling ACS or you getting thrown out, bullying and intimidation tactics to keep you your child there and to keep you from refusing drugs for your child or leaving with your child, when they do nothing to help them. It really breaks my heart to know children are being treated like that. There would be 0 stars, but the one star could be for some of the good nurses that are there. *Photo of little room in back where psych children stay.

Oben Ayuk: This hospital is just along the road and accessible. Parking around the hospital is not easy to find. The building is extremely tall. The security personnel was extremely helpful. He provided us with all information needed. The doctor and nurse that attended to us were extremely kind and friendly. Am grateful to all the hospital staff.

Luisa Ruiz: I do not recommend the place at all, I was there for around 8 hrs and all the patients were discharge but I had to wait all the time for some results that they already had, the female doctor was in a rush all the time, she did some gyn procedures on me and she even cut me because she was on a rush. My hand is swelling really bad and it’s purple because they pick the wrong vein and then they had to use my order arm for blood. And at the time they was going to give me results the doctor told me basically that I didn’t have nothing and I still have a lot of symptoms and she was on a rush too and sounded so mean like she didn’t care the health of the patient. 0/5 for this place. Btw the guy who did my blood was really nice and always there but I just think he needs more practice.

Matanzo Morgan (Beaumont 187): Worst staff ever the doctors never do nothing take you weeks to get a refill. All I do is there is chitchat and have fun and be on the phone and I’ll do nothing for the patience you go there for an appointment at 11. You don’t come out of there up till five or 6 o’clock in the afternoon. Worst doctors worst staff worse everything when 4 prescriptions on a Thursday today is Tuesday of the following week and I still haven’t got my refills yet my diabetes haven’t went away, so why I don’t have no refills.

Kiara Ramos: I recently had my baby 9-24-24 at this hospital. At first I was scared because of all the negative reviews HOWEVER I’m very happy with my decision with the nurses and labor and delivery team. They answered my call button quickly the nurses were very friendly and helpful they made sure that me and my baby boy were taken very good care of. I had my own private room with free T.V. The food was very delicious and had flavor.upon discharge I was given a free diaper bag filled with baby Essentials and postpartum care plus not to mention a free beautifully made fruit basket filled with cakes and fruit. I would most definitely come back here again and I highly recommend the labor and delivery unit . Thank you St.Barnabas for your excellent service !!

Justin Lawrence: This place is terrible. I was a patient here, and being held in this facility did nothing to help my mental health—in fact, it made things worse. When admitted, they made me sign documents without explaining what I was signing, taking advantage of people who are not in the right state of mind. Earlier this month, I hit an extreme low where I no longer saw the point in life. A friend called EMS, and I was brought here. Upon arrival, they took everything from me—my phone, wallet, and clothes—leaving me with nothing but my underwear. The staff was unhelpful and uncommunicative. The nurses never gave straight answers, constantly lying about when the doctor would see me. They would say "five minutes," but the doctor would either take much longer or never show up at all. The facility itself is isolating—there are no clocks or windows, so you have no sense of time, which only worsens your mental state. At one point, I reached a breaking point, and it took nine security guards to restrain me. One particular guard was especially rude and condescending; she should not be allowed to work with patients. To make matters worse, they don’t allow visitors. If your loved ones try to visit, they will be turned away, cutting you off from any outside support. Do not bring your struggling loved ones here. The staff does not care about the mentally ill, and this facility will only worsen their condition.

Crump Janice: This hospital have the rudest doctors I had to deal with in my life.. My mother was in NW stroke unit .The laziest nurses I met in my life was working in this department. Ms. Marg was the worst. The assistants in this department use all the short cuts for care for patients They ran out of supplys to care for patients. The Social Workers in this department, have no empathy for patients. My mother survive her hospital stay. I didnt think she was going to survive. But prayers do work. I can write a lot,I just want your to be aware. I was warn. I ignored it. They live up to their Reputation. Thanks God she still living.
