4 /5 Eva Milstein-Touesnard: I go here all the time with my friends. It’s is beautiful and open to anyone. Swimming there is difficult because of the huge rocks which are slippery and jagged so it’s hard to enter the water. However, most people make it work and we manage to get our paddle boards and floaters in. Also, the large rocks on shore which are great for hanging out and sunbathing and there a grassy area and small pavilion.

5 /5 Trisha F.: Nic place to look at the view. Do some fishing. I have seen people swimming and cooking out in the summer time. Its a small space and when its busy it fills up fast. Other times of the year nobody is there.

5 /5 Ornwara Tritrakarn: A beautiful spot to watch the sunset above the Cayuga lake. Its big enough to practice social distancing. Be prepared to be surrounded by noise though. People can get quite into fishing, drinking, and smoking weed in the area. There are many bugs now that its summer. But they dont bite. So, you can relax here!

Lick Brook Falls - Ithaca

Lori Ramirez: Peaceful, serene. Rustic hike. Lots of waterfalls. Ruts in path. NOT child friendly or stroller friendly. Yes, pet friendly. Watch your steps. No restrooms. Carry in, carry out. Well worth the trip! I recommend.

Rachel Somers: This is a great place to go with friends or family for a lake swim! You can cliff dive or just walk into the water, the trails are also super beautiful. There are a bunch of different places along the trail/river to put some towels down and sunbathe or swim!

Cayuga Nature Center - Ithaca

I F: The treehouse is beautiful, and my child really enjoyed it! However, the nature center was closed, and the animal enclosures were empty. Additionally, there was no access to bathrooms. On a positive note, we did enjoy walking along the trails.

Graham is so warm, fun and artistic, encouraging everyone to explore their own ideas while ready to help if you seek her opinions. We did not understand why she predicted at our arrival we were going to have a party in the bathroom of her workshop until we took turns to try out our nightlight creations :)). We are already planning our next visit: walking in the gourd gardens and the eco-village - one of the earliest in the US.

Kingston Point Park - Kingston

Monique: Nice little beach on the Hudson. A picnic shelter & bathhouse are at the parking lot. Theres a ballpark across the street & more picnicking close by with a covered shelter & lots of tables & benches...a lot of benches. You can take a walk along the old railroad tracks that hug the Hudson to take a look at the lighthouse in the middle of the river. Not clear if the tracks are still used. Maybe by the trolley museum close by? But there are picnic tables along this trail, too.

Kim Glasford: It was a cool experience, but it rained, so we didnt get to sit outside and enjoy the view. I took my son for his 12th birthday. He enjoyed it so I cant complain about the weather. It a great, family fun. It was me, my son, my husband, my mom went. I would definitely go back again.
