1 /5 David Kendall: Sadly, I have to write this review. I purchased a car through this dealership on Bring A Trailer. I had a lengthy conversation prior to the purchase with the owner regarding the car and its condition. While my fault I did not have the car checked out since they are a European car service center and I was told the car had extensive service done and it did not need anything. Fast forward. The car needed a transmission. The vibration in the drive train was undeniable. I made Dan aware of this on my way home from New York to Connecticut. I had the two bent rims repaired while waiting for an appointment at my local Mercedes specialist. The "transmission had just been serviced" and yet there is metal in the oil. Dan agreed at first that while this is an unfortunate situation he was going to cover the repairs, I was going to split the labor as I did not expect him to pay retail labor rates. Today while the car was being repaired locally (he spoke with the garage prior to the repair to verify the transmission had indeed failed) he changed his mind. He did contribute $1500 to a $5200 invoice. I would not have bought the car for $15500 had I known the car had multiple issues. There are various engine oil leaks, engine oil leaking onto the transmission which had "just been serviced", one axle boot was ripped, the rims were bent and it needed spark plugs. While I know the car is older with 96000 miles I was told it was gone through and it was in exceptional condition and was going to bring $17-20k on BAT, so for $15500 I thought it was a fair price. Again, I was told the car was in fantastic condition and was not in need of anything! This turned out to be a $9000 car! Be aware if you have your car serviced there or are buying a car! I did not expect a perfect car and thought perhaps I need to do some service, but not a transmission!
