1 /5 Kimberly Martel: On March 28, 2019 I arrived to my appointment with the owner Kathy of impressions salon for a half a head of highlights. My hairdresser will b moving out of state shortly and I figured it was time for me to start looking into a new one. Once foils were put in and processed it was time to wash my hair. As Kathy was taking the foils out she kept adding bleach to my head again in the sink before washing. Immediately I had a bad feeling. Once my hair was washed I received a fast messy blow dry. I stated that I was not happy with my hair. I thought it looked orange/yellow in certain areas. Kathy proceeded to tell me she did not see what I was talking about. To make matters worse she then asked everyone in the salon if they seen what I was talking about. I felt embarrassed as if she was arguing with me about my feelings. It was 8pm at night and Kathy advised me to go home and try purple shampoo knowing I was not a happy customer. It’s like she didn’t care! Then proceeded to charge me $85. I paid it. I went home very upset. Right away I tried the purple shampoo, it made no difference. I then proceeded to try apple cider vinegar, it made no difference. I was extremely upset at this point. I made an appointment with my original stylist (who will b moving out of state shortly)
Thankfully she was able to fix most of it. My stylist not only was able to agree with me about the Orange/yellow chunks on my head but showed me that I didn’t even receive a half of head of highlights. Kathy only did the top. I had roots beyond roots in the middle of me head. Impressions charged me $85 and out of the kindness of my hairdressers heart she only charged me $65. I don’t know if Kathy had a bad day but I will not be going back nor would I recommend this salon to anyone. As a business owner I feel like she was extremely unprofessional about the situation.
