5 /5 Marie Loper: I have really bad dental anxiety (as in panic attacks in the parking lot before my appointment type dental anxiety) due to run ins with previous providers (we all know the ones). I also have a really screwed up mouth due to genetics, immune disease, medications and an almost life ending car accident in 2023. I moved to the area in September and after yet another molar fell out of my mouth I began to look for a dentist (entirely against my will but a girls gotta eat). Fly Creek Dental was able to see me immediately when others refused. After my initial appointment my pain increased and so I called them for antibiotics. Not a problem. They called it into my pharmacy after I hung up.
I told them about my tendency to violently sob whenever I have to go to the dentist and they werent bothered at all. In fact, they go out of their way to explain everything theyre going to do before they do it, frequently check in with me about how Im doing during the procedures, and dont mind if I have someone with me (except for the root canal because there wasnt room). That shame and guilt trip that dentists put you through? Not here. Dr. Wendover was matter of fact about what the issues were and what steps I need to take in my treatment plan. Dr. Blum was open to me telling him what works for me with keeping my mouth open and simply did the thing, even agreeing with me after he saw what I was told about. His was the easiest root canal Ive ever had and all of the work Dr. Wendover has performed has been beyond my wildest hopes. I can finally see a light at the end of this very long painful tunnel.
And last, but certainly not least, the support staff are INCREDIBLE from the guys at the front desk to the dental assistants. Unfortunately, the wreck left me with the long-term memory of a goldfish so I cant name specific names but all of them have been not only professional but kind. Even friendly. Like, they remembered me and my name the SECOND TIME I WALKED IN like they have a patient name boot camp at the end of every day. Plus, I dont feel judged, rushed, or like I am a bother for any request I make. I genuinely hope everyone they deal with treats then the same.
Ultimately, I am so glad that the Universe brought me to this office. Theres a sign in the waiting room that says "Smile More". And at this point I know very soon I will be!
