Mandi Taillon: We LOVE this hidden gem in Cooperstown. Do not skip it because you expect to be bored. It is so quaint and fun, especially for children to visit. From authentic NY houses and buildings to one very cool carved, wooden carousel (only $1 per ride) this place is fun exploring. You can expect to experience something different each time. Once we were able to go into the horse barn and learn/watch them put horse shoes on the horses. The blacksmith can usually be found making something and there are skilled folks making brooms, blankets, all on site. In addition there are lots of animals to see and interact with. Tickets can be purchased on site. The carousel does close for an hour for lunch. Before leaving, grab an ice cream cone in the snack shop and stop in the gift shop for some really great stuff.

Phoebe Nelson: If youre not a fan of (or fan of laughing at) folk art, Im not sure Id recommend it, honestly. It is a cool collection, and one of the two special exhibitions happening while we were there was fantastic (the other would be fantastic for fans of the featured artists, which we were not). We visited on a recommendation and I feel like I would pass the recommendation along, with minor caveats. Overall a positive experience, well curated collections, and a beautiful building.

Michael Hahn: A wonderful collection of memorabilia, artifacts, and stories about Americas favorite past time. The staff was very courteous. Gift shop prices are reasonable. The introduction movie had technical difficulties but it was addressed by the great staff through announcements and troubleshooting. We returned at the next scheduled showing (one hour later) and the film was well worth the wait. Really enjoyed the women of baseball exhibit and the section about the history of collectible cards.
