Jean Fenelon: One of the best churches in Rockland County. The pastor is very honorable and dedicated to the work of the Lord. Every time I visit this church, I am welcomed with open arms.

    Grace Episcopal Church - Nyack
Lynn-Marie Schnalzer: As a long time member of this parish, I feel like Grace Church is my home. I did "church shop" for a while after leaving my last church and found that Grace was the right fit for me. I will beg to differ about our staff. I have had positive experiences with everyone, and I truly feel God at work within their spirits, otherwise wed be another struggling church without direction. We have an amazing congregation, provide many community services, host an incredible number of 12 step groups. Our childrens service is well attended, church school is full. Our choirs are strong and marvelous. I am saddened that this church didnt work for you, and I hope that you will at some point find your church home.

Ty Gould Jacinto: What a wonderful experience just being in the beautiful place. If you are ever in Haverstraw please see if there is a service that you can attend. You will be moved by the energy and people that are so lively and warm. A must visit! Make sure you walk and find all of the local spots to visit in the quaint town.

Carol Perez Infante: I never thought I’d be writing something like this. The church itself is beautiful and well maintained, but if you’re looking to reconcile with God and find true peace, this is not the place. The younger priest walks around like the big bad wolf, disrupting the peace any time something doesn’t go his way. I strongly suggest he reconsider his calling, because this is clearly not it. His behavior reflects the exact opposite of the compassion and grace a church should embody — and frankly, it’s disturbing. I would assume he’s kinder to people he knows personally or those who follow his every word — but that’s not how a church should operate. It’s no surprise the pews are often empty. For my family, this is now the third time we’ve left this church feeling disheartened and demotivated. What’s most upsetting is the way he treats children. Kids are just beginning to discover their faith, and experiences like this can easily drive them away from the church altogether. A place meant to offer peace and spiritual comfort ended up doing the complete opposite. It breaks my heart to say this, but I feel it’s important for others to know. Kindness, respect, and understanding should be at the core of any religious community — and sadly, they were nowhere to be found here.
