5 /5 Grafton: Great playground for elementary age kids and a second one great for toddlers. Huge open fields to play with a mile round dirt/stone track. Bathrooms are open during summer time and a good amount of small pavilion areas to picnic. If you fly kites, this is the place to do it as long as sports arent going on.

5 /5 Sofia: Beautiful dinosaur themed playground in a park. The playground is named after Jack, a 3yrs. old boy who died on accident at the age of three. His parents and many many contributors have organized a foundation raising money to build more dinosaur themed playgrounds for all the kids to play and enjoy, in the memory of Jack who loved the blue color and dinosaurs. Great safety standards, lots of play equipment and a sandbox where dinosaur bones can be digged up!! Explore this beautiful park! Get food and water with you cause kids will not leave before the sun drops!!

5 /5 Jen Groot: Really cool park. Some parts of the playground are covered which it’s easier for kids to hangout for longer. The slides, swings and jigsaw do get hot in summer but Kira can still use it.

5 /5 Donna Deffenbaugh: My grandson adores this park, so many options for different ages. We stop in for 10 minutes and stay for an hour because he is so happy here. The kids always interact and the area is beautiful, with seating and trails. Cant say enough about how special they have made this playground.

Abraham Lincoln Park - Webster

Broden Bartlett-Bryce: This was my first time coming to this park and spent a good 4 hours hiking the trails. The entrance has a playground and for the nature area, there is quite a bit of up and downhill segments and a variety of different paths to take. There’s some really nice spots to view Irondequoit Bay as well. Lots of wildlife such as deer, snakes, toads, birds, etc. It’s a really nice park.

New York Museum of Transportation - West Henrietta

Nicholas Swann: YouTube video of N.Y. Museum of Transportation. One of my favorite, enjoyable, educational tours was my trip to the New York Museum of Transportation. They had a wide variety of vehicles dating back a century, "The Trolley". And you can go for a ride on it. While on the ride, an employee of the museum narrated some history, it was interesting. Some of the other vehicles there were old fire trucks, (including the hook and ladder) plows trucks, old black top roller, an original Greyhound bus, and more. I would strongly suggest if you are looking for an afternoon to get out and see something different go there. Kids enjoy it also. They see the way things were back in the days.

Rothfuss Park - Penfield

Selina Ruiz: I absolutely love it here. Its a great place to go with my dog to play fetch, my nieces can play on the playground, we can get a good walk in, the views are stunning. The bathrooms are clean and its easy to get water for my dog.

Broden Bartlett-Bryce: It’s a decent park with some pathways, benches, and a splash pad. It has some nice memorials as well and history related plaques.

Braddock Bay Park - Rochester

Deb Welch: I actually only visited the kayaks, canoes entry dock. I was quite impressed by the thoughtful inclusion for handicap paddlers. The Bay was beautiful, and the dock was clean and well kept. The scenery was nice, too. I do plan to return and walk around more and explore. Ill let you know what I find.

Saint Kateri National Shrine and Historic Site - Fonda

Nathan June: Open to the public, its a nice stop off as you explore the area. This is considered a sacred site so be respectful of traditions, such as pilgrims doing the stations of the cross, going to Mass, or offering prayers & lighting candles (there is a building specifically for this). There is a gift shop there as well that sells various religious items & other gifts. I would recommend checking it out & walking the grounds up to the site of the Haudenosaunee village where St. Kateri was from.
