1 /5 Abby Laier: Was referred here for a root canal because they take my insurance. Red flags from the start. The receptionist, Gretchen, was rude and scheduling an appointment felt more like being lectured than the coming together and passing along of information. Once there and ready to go, the Doctor had absolutely no time to be compassionate or reassuring about the procedural options she described as possibilities. It was impossible to make any sort of human connection with either Gretchen or the Doctor. It felt like it was not part of their programming. Any questions I had were met with an abrasive responses, as though it was inappropriate for me to ask questions to understand what was likely to happen in MY MOUTH. I started to have a lot of anxiety and felt the beginning of a panic attack starting. Instead of telling me something like "oh you dont need to be worried, we see a lot of that here" or "we can set that right, no need to be concerned" the Doctor simply looked at me. Luckily I was able to leave without having anything more than x-rays done because they needed to get in contact with my dentist and they were unable to do so. I am so thankful that he never answered their call! This visit felt like something out of American Horror Story.
