1 /5 Joe Savio: Hi, I went to this dentist Dr. Patel for a consult apparently I need a root canal prior to getting a cap and a crown.
So I happen to be with a walker because of a sciatic nerve issue and clearly I am uncomfortable and in pain otherwise as it’s pretty apparent.
My appointment was at 1 o’clock. They handed me paperwork to fill out probably seven pages and then asked me to sit down that I would be called in shortly. I don’t mind waiting 15 minutes honestly, I don’t mind waiting half an hour because you never know why they were busier than normal.
Anyway, 30 minutes goes by. And nothing I’m sitting there in the waiting room waiting to be called in for service.
I said to myself OK I’ll wait 15 more minutes.
Well, one hour and 15 minutes later I get up and I said to the receptionist, thatI can’t wait anymore. I’ve been waiting one hour and 15 minutes and have not been called in. Please give me back my paperwork that I filled out because I have private information on their Social Security number, and Medical information that is private. She said to me well your appointment was at 2 PM, I said no my appointment was at 1:15pm and I got here 10 minutes before that because I figured I’d have to fill out paperwork. I’ve been waiting one hour and 15 minutes and no one has the courtesy to tell me anything, to acknowledge the fact that I’m waiting there like an idiot. Especially with a walker. She said to me…we will reschedule you and I said no you will not reschedule me. I’ll go to a dentist to is courteous of his patients.
When I asked her for my paperwork, she said to me well that’s ours now I said no it’s not yours. It’s mine!! This personal information on there. She goes well. I’ll shred it. I said no you won’t shred it. You’ll hand it to me. She said well it’s in the computer anyway, so I said to her, Delete it from your computer because it’s ridiculous that I’ve had to wait one hour and 15 minutes and nobody said anything to me.
I don’t know if Dr. Patel is a good dentist or not because I didn’t have the pleasure or displeasure of a visit because of the above. But the staff should have said… hey excuse me we’re shorthanded. Or that they had an emergency, something to acknowledge the fact of me Sitting there like an idiot for an hour and 15 minutes. They didn’t do that and they should have at 30 minutes somebody should’ve said… excuse me we’re having an issue. Can you wait another 10 minutes or 15 minutes or it’s gonna be 30 minutes. At that point it would be up to me whether or not I wanna wait or I want to leave. So yeah, one star because I have to it would be zero stars because of how they handled a prospective Patient.
No, I would definitely not recommend this office. Unless of course you feel like being ignored for an hour and 15 minutes or more.
And then they have the nerve to send me a text and they want a review. Well, here it is.
