2 /5 Gabrielle Lynch: I came here in December to get my hair done for my birthday and overall was really disappointed in the experience. My appointment started late as the stylist I was booked with was still with a previous client. I waited over an hour with no updates or acknowledgment, and once I was taken into the back by an assistant to start my wash felt pressured into a steam treatment I didn’t plan to get. I had booked with Shawanda (the owner) for my trim, but didnt know she would in fact not be the one to do it and no one communicated that. Additionally, when it was time to blow dry, trim and straighten my hair the stylist still wasn’t finished and had suggested that the assistant start the process although the assistant whispered to her that her the owner said her straightening technique was “not up to the sew standard”. The suggestion was she start and the stylist would step in if anything went one. Eventually (and thankfully) the stylist finished her previous client and started my hair but she did not apologise or acknowledge how long I waited. That said the results were beautiful when I left although I did not leave the salon until 5:30 pm when my appointment originally was scheduled to be done around 1:30 pm. At checkout, they didn’t even have a record of my deposit and I had to dig through emails to prove it. My total was supposed to be $124, but I ended up paying over $200 with the added treatment and tip. Again my hair did look great, but a week later it smelled burnt and now I have heat damage in the back. My natural curls are significantly looser and have straight sections. This was the first time I’ve had my hair straightened in three years and I do not put heat on it regularly so can only assume this occurred during my appointment. I was recommended this salon by a friend who has had great experiences so I expected different. The wait time, lack of communication, and damage to my hair makes me feel like this experience was not worth it at all. I won’t be returning.

3 /5 Kaia Naadira: Let me start by saying the staff is amazing, great personalities from everyone. Super welcoming and felt like a safe space for the girls. However the actual hairstyle I got was frankly really bad. I came in for a last minute appointment and was grateful to be seen. Enjoyed myself and the talk with the women in the salon. But it took them two and a half hours to blow dry my 4c hair because they used a paddle brush and weren’t allowed to use a comb attachment apparently. My blowdry came out uneven and patchy which made the flat ironing I needed done after much harder to do and made the braid down painful. It then took another five hours to do a half up half down quick weave. I had a Christmas dinner and expected to leave the chair to make it since I came in at 3:30 but I left at 10:30 at night with a hairstyle that actually made me cry in the Uber because it was so far from what I asked for. By the end of my visit I was tired and just wanted to go home, I even asked to just leave and finish my hair at home but it was so half done I just had to wait while everyone figured it out. Like I said I’m really sad to leave this review and I would have charged it to the game until I finally just took down the style because it was bothering me that bad and saw how much my hair was really played in. I hope in the future they adjust to accommodate 4c clients or frankly just be honest about the capacity they had I definitely would have understood. All in all the only thing I really enjoyed was the customer service but the hair itself just wasn’t done well. I spent $270 to feel ugly.

5 /5 Lily Ji: Visiting the salon after researching the business for sometime seeing a lot of negative reviews but still giving it a try and I’m so happy I did. Shawanda was the best. She is personable and very much talented. She educated me on what I needed to do to get my hair as healthy as I wanted. Her question to me was “what are your hair goals?” No stylist I’ve ever met has ever asked me that question. I’m so happy with my hair. I received a sew basic install which was discounted for the day and time I booked a trim and hair steam. I have to say I was surprised about how quick I was done

1 /5 Nicolette King: My daughter and I recently visited this salon for extensions, and while the space is visually appealing, the service left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the stylists here seem inexperienced with traditional sew-ins and lace closure sew-ins. The stylist who worked on my daughter’s hair (she had copper hair) didn’t even know how to properly curl the hair. The braiding pattern was inconsistent, with two large braids in the back and smaller ones on the sides—it looked rushed and unprofessional, as you can see in the photos. As for my own experience, my lace was already lifting within 24 hours, and parts of my hair weren’t even sewn down completely, which is unacceptable. Despite these issues, I was not refunded for my incomplete service (a matter I’m currently disputing). Thankfully, my daughter did receive a refund. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. The lack of skill and attention to detail makes it clear they are not equipped to deliver quality hair services.
