  • What Clients Are Saying about St Georges Episcopal Church (on GG)
5 /5 Christine Shannon: Thank you so much to Fr. Tom, Organist Brian Taylor, and everyone else at St. George’s who helped us have a beautiful wedding day! We thoroughly enjoyed our sessions with Fr. Tom leading up to the wedding, and the ceremony was just perfect. We received so many compliments from our guests on the ceremony/church space. Furthermore, we have found a wonderful community in the St. George’s congregation.
5 /5 Theresa St. John: We were not there when the beautiful church was open - but we could hear music (organ?) beyond the doors. Property is gorgeous, well-kept. The graveyard area is beautiful - so many old stones, it was fun to wander through and read them! Im not sure why some stones stood against the walls of the church all the way around, I had never seen that before. Very very pretty spot, Id go back again.
5 /5 Stanisluas Katzcinski: I grew up going to a non denominational Christian Church. It was in a big, boring room with no history and folding chairs. The services were chaotic and eventually pushed me away from organized Christianity (to my mothers dismay). Its rare I visit churches, although this was my second time in St. Georges and I could certainly feel a spiritual heaviness tied in with the buildings history and beautiful architecture. The wedding service I was there for went off without a hitch and the Fathers were kind and helpful. I consider going to a service, for the first time in years.
5 /5 John Roberts: I was baptized at St George’s Church 81 years ago - during the War, and have lived in Florida for almost 50 years. My grandmother always told me I cried so loud at my baptism that I “raised the roof of old St George Church!” Still a very active Episcopalian & a parishioner of St John’s Cathedral in Jacksonville, Fl. God bless you all!
5 /5 Brian Taylor: I am pleased to be associated with this congregation. It offers a beautiful, reverent "high church" worship service every Sunday. It also has opportunities for education, fellowship and service to the wider community. Its priest is accessible and approachable. It is open minded but it does not compromise on the essentials of the Christian faith. An unpretentious and comfortable place for all.

Candace Mack: Very new age since update, and not in a good way. Tabernacle is in the back, hosts transported by a lay person, and just the way the items were put on a tray after communion as it priest was doing dishes and then moving the tray to the back. Just weird and not reverent. Altar servers were totally not trained. Wanted to receive on the tongue but the lay minister of the Eucharist gave me a weird look. Next time will go to either St. John’s or the parish on upper State Street.

Julia Trimarco: Beautiful historic church with a large active and welcoming congregation. Half of the campus of 5 connected buildings is currently under renovation, but the sanctuary is open for church services.

pete zullo: Organ too loud, beautiful raked auditorium, too in your face affirmative, nice color coordination, ample parking, no rhythm. Very easy to get to right off of state street. The congregation doesnt sing. I really loved the raked floor.

CM: Father Bob is so amazing. He welcomes all as Jesus would. He really believes in kindness and faith to all. He works really hard to create a feeling of welcome for young and old. If you’re looking for a parish where kindness is extended to all faiths, races, and who you are he will make you feel like you that you are part of the community.

Bluerose: This church is alive and well serving the community to the point that the town has told our pastor that positive changes on Crane Street have come about due to the churchs presence. Come out to see us at 10 am Sunday or join us for prayer on Tuesday nights at 7pm.
