  • House of Frankenstein Wax Museum - Lake George
    House of Frankenstein Wax Museum
Ryan Mazierski: The House of Frankenstein Wax Museum is a one of a kind wax museum in Lake George, NY. The museum has many different wax exhibits ranging from horror movies, sci-fi movies, classic literary tales, mythical monsters, and horrifying historical periods. The museum also adds in some interesting and scary optical illusion displays. Upon entering the wax museum you will notice a few wax figures like Frankenstein displayed in the lobby. There is a sign stating there are no refunds and parents should use good judgement as to whether the museum is appropriate for kids. After you go in the main door you walk around in dark hallways, in what feels like a labyrinth. Throughout the darkened halls you will see different wax displays. As you walk around different displays will sometimes move or pop out at you, but you will not get hit by anything. A few of the displays have buttons that make the displays come to life. Some of the displays might even frighten you. Near the end you will walk through a spinning star like display that is totally fun, but could make you dizzy. While many wax museums have interesting exhibits, this one is the most unique for the thrills and chills it adds to seeing the exhibits. It is an interesting and fun way to present the exhibits. The museum is not for the easily frightened or young kids. Check the museum’s website for hours. Tickets are available at the entrance. If you’re visiting Lake George this is definitely a great place to visit.

    Shepard Park - Lake George
    Shepard Park
Ryan Mazierski: Shepard Park is a nice little escape in downtown Lake George. The park is located in the heart of Lake George Village. It offers scenic views of the lake, a fishing pier, a small public beach, a playground, and Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy yourself. During summer evenings this a great place to see the fireworks in Lake George. Free concerts are offered here in the summer as well. The park is kept fairly neatly. The only negative is that there are days where the park can be overcrowded. If you can avoid these times this park is enjoyable. The park is a pleasant place to be and a must see if youre in the village of Lake George.

Margaret Kennedy: We booked a 3 hour tour. Captain Steve was AMAZING! He even took us to a special slide because my child had told him he never got to go on a water slide. We spent the time tubing, swimming and cliff diving. I especially loved his knowledge of the lake and some great stories about it. I highly recommend utilizing this tour company as they provide the best experience and truly care about the people they are serving. Will most definitely book again!

Funarama Fun Park - Lake George
    Funarama Fun Park
Carlos Zambrano: This is a decent place for younger kids, it has a few smaller rides. There is also an arcade attached to it. The only thing that I didnt like is that there didnt seem to be anybody in the arcade to help you out when we were there. It seems that they only want a small amount of staff working there. The ticket machines are all cash and the ATM has a $3 charge to take money out.

Kevin Hanselman: Family had an amazing time! Kids thoroughly enjoyed the “Cabin of Dreams” - trying to fill every square. Wife said she hasn’t felt this relaxed in a long time - just being able to listen to the wonderful music and watch the lights and enjoy the experience was very calming for her. Personally I had a great time just watching them all enjoy their experience! Overall a wonderful experience.
