She was naturally kind from the moment I arrived, went above and beyond to make sure she was cutting each layer of my hair to a length that I liked, and validated every question or concern that I had with compassion. I haven’t gotten a drastically different haircut in years and was anxious, but Natasha calmed every nerve and did an extraordinary job. I left absolutely ecstatic and so in love with my haircut. So, to anyone reading this review and wondering if they should get their hair done here, I highly recommend that you request Natasha! You won’t be disappointed. She’s fabulous! (Thank you Natasha!)

Julia Megibow Dolson: I will try to make this review short and sweet as I know long one can be daunting, but let me tell you that I feel like I have FINALLY found my new salon and stylist in the Upper East Side. As we all know, especially those of us that color our hair, finding a good salon and a good stylist can be quite a journey. I had been to several other salons in the neighborhood and some I would stay at for a few months, but then something would happen that would cause me to look elsewhere. I came in on a Sunday and Giuseppe was my stylist. I said to him only a few simple things - half head of highlights and blended and he went to work. i dont know how he did it or if he is a psychic, but it was like he read my mind and gave me exactly what I wanted and I AM THRILLED. I feel like only really good and amazing stylists can take a little information and make it amazing. He also has such a strong passion for hair coloring and the art of it. He thoroughly enjoys his work and making people happy by giving them exactly what they want and you can tell as it was very much reflected in his work and personality. Also the Living room hair salon is HUGE and just beautiful! I dont think I have been to a salon that clean, organized and spacious since I lived in California! Seriously - if you want a wonderful experience with wonderful stylists - look no further as The Living Room Hair Salon is IT.

Blaine Ashley: I just had the most odd experience at Wind Hair Salon. I usually go to another salon on the block but tried them first last week when my usual salon was closed for the Chinese new year. I had a pleasurable experience the first time so thought I’d go again. I especially loved the wash and massage but this time was so odd. First - the owner thought I was someone else who owed him $ and I reminded him of who I was. Then - I proceeded to show him a picture of how I liked my hair done. I get my hair blow dried / styled very often due to my line of work. And have for a long time. My hair is difficult - fine and a lot of it. But he kept telling me it was too short to be curled. Yet, I get loose curls all the time. It’s 2 inches past my shoulders. A pieced wave / loose curl works for all hair lengths. And the way he was pulling my hair made it feel like pieces were being broken. The whole process took way too long. I left SUPER unhappy yet they charged me full price knowing it was not good. I did not tip because they charged more than last time even. I ended up walking straight to my other salon to get them to fix it. I’m also very confused by the smell in there. The first time I assumed they just had lunch but this time - the smell was looming. My hair smells like it. Just not ideal all around. I feel really bad posting this but also feel like this is a place for mostly men and cuts and a specific type of hair that’s definitely not mine : (
