    Julia Megibow Dolson: I will try to make this review short and sweet as I know long one can be daunting, but let me tell you that I feel like I have FINALLY found my new salon and stylist in the Upper East Side. As we all know, especially those of us that color our hair, finding a good salon and a good stylist can be quite a journey. I had been to several other salons in the neighborhood and some I would stay at for a few months, but then something would happen that would cause me to look elsewhere. I came in on a Sunday and Giuseppe was my stylist. I said to him only a few simple things - half head of highlights and blended and he went to work. i dont know how he did it or if he is a psychic, but it was like he read my mind and gave me exactly what I wanted and I AM THRILLED. I feel like only really good and amazing stylists can take a little information and make it amazing. He also has such a strong passion for hair coloring and the art of it. He thoroughly enjoys his work and making people happy by giving them exactly what they want and you can tell as it was very much reflected in his work and personality. Also the Living room hair salon is HUGE and just beautiful! I dont think I have been to a salon that clean, organized and spacious since I lived in California! Seriously - if you want a wonderful experience with wonderful stylists - look no further as The Living Room Hair Salon is IT.

    Ryan Perumal: Walked in really fast for a shampoo and wash, I have very long hair so they charged me 60$. They did a great job, very friendly. Mookie was great to talk to! Definitely swing by if you need something fast!

    Blaine Ashley: I just had the most odd experience at Wind Hair Salon. I usually go to another salon on the block but tried them first last week when my usual salon was closed for the Chinese new year. I had a pleasurable experience the first time so thought I’d go again. I especially loved the wash and massage but this time was so odd. First - the owner thought I was someone else who owed him $ and I reminded him of who I was. Then - I proceeded to show him a picture of how I liked my hair done. I get my hair blow dried / styled very often due to my line of work. And have for a long time. My hair is difficult - fine and a lot of it. But he kept telling me it was too short to be curled. Yet, I get loose curls all the time. It’s 2 inches past my shoulders. A pieced wave / loose curl works for all hair lengths. And the way he was pulling my hair made it feel like pieces were being broken. The whole process took way too long. I left SUPER unhappy yet they charged me full price knowing it was not good. I did not tip because they charged more than last time even. I ended up walking straight to my other salon to get them to fix it. I’m also very confused by the smell in there. The first time I assumed they just had lunch but this time - the smell was looming. My hair smells like it. Just not ideal all around. I feel really bad posting this but also feel like this is a place for mostly men and cuts and a specific type of hair that’s definitely not mine : (

    Jaela Burmester: I literally traveled from Queens to get a blowout with Uma Kalmurzaeva. Their service and hospitality was truly amazing. All the employees were so caring and kind. Uma did such an amazing blow out on me especially with long layers cut on top of that. I highly recommend going to this Salon and book an appointment with Uma.

Kelly gave me a thorough consultation and along with my amazing hairstylist Devin they made sure my cut and color would work perfectly together. Kelly carefully lifted my hair color and meticulously sectioned the hair so all the colored pieces fall in perfect harmony. My experience was awesome from start to finish. I arrived a few minutes early and they promptly started with my service while talking me through the entire process. Conveniently located less than 10 minutes from my office, Hair Rules is now my go to hair salon. The salon space is clean and modern, the staff is personable and professional, and the service that I received - TOP NOTCH! Hair Rule was referred to me and I highly recommend them for your hair care needs!
