Beth Hall: I went to school here in the early to mid 70s when it was St. Patricks. I remember prayer, morning mass, Father Tremblay and Sister Rita. There were many great sisters and lay teachers. Trips to pick apples, playing in the school yard, CYO on 1st Street run by Mrs. Hennessy. So many memories!❤️

The Tourist Trip: This place has been a beacon to the city of Albany showing others what loving your community and neighbors looks like in the most simple and practical ways. I found these guys through a Serve Albany brochure at a local coffee shop. They have been bringing together volunteers to serve this city through different non profit partners. I have found this place to be a open, welcome and safe space to explore my in faith tradition with others who are seeking a God far beyond the feeble limitations of our collective understanding and knowledge. Shout out to Jon, the pastor, who has assisted in helping shape this vision.

Lisa Canty: Though Im not much for church, before the service even started, staff stood at the microphone going over each of the renovation plans like we were at a town hall meeting and asked for money. During the service the priest made comments of the Isreal/Palestine war currently in progress and had to remind us that though he supports the jews, Jesus never was one. Not sure what Bible hes reading but clearly needs to go back to school.

In the craziness of the world, and the state of some people lives at this moment..those that are sick ..those that have lost their jobs .. those that have lost loved ones.. those that are struggling with mental illness..I have learned to PRAY..and…PRAY..and..PRAY .. I have learned to read scripture and even if I don’t always understand it. I learned to seek to understand.. my life has been soooo much easier… even when it was hard… I say all this to say.. EMPIRE CHRISTIAN CENTER… it’s Pastors .. Tre and Christina… it’s people that have dedicated their lives to growing in the word.. have guided me …inspired me.. and by choice I am grounded in HIM. This month is our prayer and fasting month every year we work through a workbook.. together we live through the word ..guided through this eloquently written and thoughtful workbook… and TOGETHER.. we rise not alone not separated.. not straying to our own agendas.. but TOGETHER.. Our Pastors and friends make this possible each year.. and we grow..individually because of it..this is what church is about..strong leaders that equip us to live strong lives .. and a congregation full of dedicated servants all growing in the word..10 plus stars ❤️
