5 /5 Paul Kretchmer: Beautiful earth trails in a portion of old growth forest in the heart of Rochester. Beautiful in any season and especially beautiful in the autumn.

5 /5 Mike Sudz: Always a pleasant walk, but there are a lot of bugs so if they bother you plan ahead. The paths are easy to follow, lots of locals always walking, but never crowded. You can take one of the paths to the top of Cobbs Hill, and there is some very cool graffiti on the old water tanks.

5 /5 Hugo Stachel: Really enjoyed hiking around this scenic little park. I think the sign at the entrance I took says it best: " A forest in the city". I loved hiking the network of trails, surrounded by beautiful, tall, Oaks. There are some hills, so one can get a nice workout. I followed the trails up to the old water towers and enjoyed the very cool murals and grafitti, very interesting to check out. The trails then led me up to the reservoir, which has a very nice path with tremendous views of the city as well as the hills of the Finger Lakes to the south. Highly recommend this area.

Walking along the well maintained and clearly marked paths gives you the sensation of walking at the feet of giants. Then theres the old water towers, which hold their own brilliant display of human creativity in a ever revolving and evolving canvas of local art.

5 /5 Sam Z: Great place to take kids on a short hike. You will come across many interesting and unique things to see. One of the highlights is the old reservoirs that are now utilized by local artists to create magnificent art. The artwork is always changing which makes it fun to come back every couple months or so. Theres a lot of exploring to do, especially for the little ones. Definitely worthwhile to check it out and have a picnic lunch. Enjoy!

Maplewood Rose Garden - Rochester

T: The beauty of this rose garden is incredible. There are so many varieties of roses to look at and smell. The park itself is nestled right near high falls and has a lot of character and charm. It’s a place I want to visit every day in the late spring/early summer to see all of the roses in bloom. This is a must visit place if you love roses!

Durand Eastman Park - Rochester

Allison LaSota: Took my dog here while traveling and staying in hotel. It was a great place to walk. This was during winter and trails were clear which made walking through snow easier.

Powder Mills Park - Pittsford

Elizabeth Freeman: We had a great time, although It was a cold day, and wish the grill was a little bit larger, and had some kind of wind break. The wind kept blowing my fire out. It took me a little over an hour to get my fire consistent. We loved the fact that it was right at the creek, so family could go fishing and take walks along the creek. Even though they are outdoor shelters, the county should build an outdoor fireplace inside the shelter for fall-like days.

Greece Canal Park - Rochester

Pamela Ho: It was beautiful! I wish I came during the better months so that it wouldnt be an obstacle course. But it was fun and pretty quick if a walk if you take the blue tail. Be warned if you do take the blue trail, at one point it says with the red tail. There are no signs, but make sure you dont go right. Youll know what I mean.

The Powers Building - Rochester

Teddy Sainphor: This is one of the most beautiful buildings in Rochester. It also has a hidden gem - one of the most expansive and impressive atriums around. From inside and out, theres absolutely nothing that isnt short of spectacular! The first floor has retail which includes a tailor, an optometrist, and much more. It also has quite a few sculptures and art pieces. Entrances off of State Street and Main Street lead to the atrium. The atrium itself has another hidden gem in the form of Sapporos cafe, which will be covered in a later review. Ferns and hostas proliferate throughout this multi-story extravaganza. You really feel like youre in a whimsical garden while walking through the space. Being that its mostly professionals in the building its nice and quiet. A perfect spot to read a book or simply have a seat and relax. No matter the weather, youll leave this space feeling brand new. Its truly remarkable.

Sandbar Park - Webster

Broden Bartlett-Bryce: first time coming here since it’s renovation some years back. What a nice modern park this is!!! Super nice playground, amazing view of Lake Ontario and even better view of the sunsets. It was quite windy when I went but that’s fine.
