3 /5 Zolonda Slaughter: It was a wonderful, physical (and sometimes mental if you haven’t taken that route in a while) incline that began at the bottom of Euclid Ave. And, slowly through 177 cement steps, not including the flat straight landings, gave way to a breathtaking almost arial view of the wonderful city of Syracuse, which included the JMP’s Dome and Thornden Park’s water tower. The only reason I scored this with three stars was because of the declination of those raggedy, fear inducing of breaking a few bones, steps. As much as those steps are being used by the neighbors, students, professionals, and neophytes that like to get a workout in, the city should be able to allocate part of our tax money to fix it like the numerous sidewalks, traffic signals, trash cans, potholes (?) and speed bumps. Syracuse is better than that.
