Lisa Downing: We took my boyfriends 52 Jeep Willis in for repair two years ago in May and after making redundant and I do mean redundant numerous trips to the auto repair shop 25-30 times the The owner of the shop still never fix the Jeep so it works. I asked him repeatedly to just keep replacing parts and we would pay him a few hundred dollars every time we would go in but still we have no fixed Jeep. We’ve asked the guy the owner to call us regarding the jeep repeatedly when you bring a jeep in for repair normally it takes about maybe a week this guy has had it two years and I think he just took our money because we’ve paid him to fix nothing, so watch out I’m gonna make arrangements to have my boyfriend’s jeep removed from that body shop. I feel like we got taken for a complete ride. The shop is very very unprofessional when you bring your car in for repair they stay in touch with you and call you they let you know when you order new parts or what you need , the vehicle should be diagnosed. This guy has done nothing but take our money. I find the shop owner to be very very unprofessional. It’s like we’re paying for insurance on this and it was stolen because he just gonna keep it forever I would be reluctant to go there.

Choice Auto Repair - Mayfield
CM Havens: Brought my car in for a blown serpentine belt. They claimed it was fixed and charged me full price. When I picked it up, the coolant reservoir was completely empty and the belt tensioner wasn’t even bolted down — it was loose and vibrating. I didn’t find out until an oil change tech pointed it out. This kind of sloppy, careless work could have destroyed my engine. I gave them my business because I’m local and wanted to support a hometown shop. Big mistake. If this is how they treat customers, they don’t deserve the trust — or the money. Avoid them.

Anything Automotive & Tire - Amsterdam
Greg P: I needed to get my inspection done and called for an appointment. I was told to come in this week on Thursday at 2:00 PM. They didn’t take my name or number. I took time off work to get to the appt, arrived 10 mins early, waited in the waiting room, to just be told the guy who does inspections didn’t show up and they had no more information. Like thank you for wasting my time and loss of a few hours at work for nothing! Totally would never give them my business ever again!
Ace Service Center Inc - Gloversville
aron marcson: This service center is not to be believed! I asked them to inspect a used truck that I was considering purchasing, and not only was the mechanic a true gentleman in the way that he dealt with me, but in the end he REFUSED PAYMENT! He said that the truck was in good condition, and he hadnt needed to spend much time on it, so he wasnt going to charge for it! If only there were more people like him around, the world would be a much better place. I must not forget to mention, he is also a consummate professional. He really, really knows his trucks. Thank you!!

Howard Sham: Great service! They had me up and running in no time. Ethan is very personable and knowledgeable. They arrived within 30 minutes of my call. They had my dead 1960’s ford Diesel tractor running not long after they arrived. Ethan showed me everything he was doing throughout the process and I learned a lot. The price was fair as well. I highly recommend this company and I will be doing future business with them. Don’t call anyone else out there you can trust and depend on this company.
European Auto Works - Gloversville
David Kendall: Sadly, I have to write this review. I purchased a car through this dealership on Bring A Trailer. I had a lengthy conversation prior to the purchase with the owner regarding the car and its condition. While my fault I did not have the car checked out since they are a European car service center and I was told the car had extensive service done and it did not need anything. Fast forward. The car needed a transmission. The vibration in the drive train was undeniable. I made Dan aware of this on my way home from New York to Connecticut. I had the two bent rims repaired while waiting for an appointment at my local Mercedes specialist. The "transmission had just been serviced" and yet there is metal in the oil. Dan agreed at first that while this is an unfortunate situation he was going to cover the repairs, I was going to split the labor as I did not expect him to pay retail labor rates. Today while the car was being repaired locally (he spoke with the garage prior to the repair to verify the transmission had indeed failed) he changed his mind. He did contribute $1500 to a $5200 invoice. I would not have bought the car for $15500 had I known the car had multiple issues. There are various engine oil leaks, engine oil leaking onto the transmission which had "just been serviced", one axle boot was ripped, the rims were bent and it needed spark plugs. While I know the car is older with 96000 miles I was told it was gone through and it was in exceptional condition and was going to bring $17-20k on BAT, so for $15500 I thought it was a fair price. Again, I was told the car was in fantastic condition and was not in need of anything! This turned out to be a $9000 car! Be aware if you have your car serviced there or are buying a car! I did not expect a perfect car and thought perhaps I need to do some service, but not a transmission!
