1 /5 Sarah Golden: This dental office has a hygienist/receptionist that will look up patients on social media and interact with them solely by the HIPPA information she accessed. My family and I were very uncomfortable after realizing she used our HIPPA to locate us on social media.
The same woman and I had a very negative interaction on 6/12/2024.
Unlike the other receptionist, this woman was dressed/presented very unprofessionally- and admitted to having a bad day today- Based on her dirty shirt, sloppy bun with hair everywhere, and no name, tag or identifying indication that she worked in a medical office- I would not have known she was employed.
I have a broken deteriorating tooth, causing life altering pain. This issue has been brought to their attention for six weeks and I have returned phone calls weekly after going to the walk-in the ER and my primary care physician as they advised . I called in asking for some assistance and when I came to the office( in pain) This was incredibly unprofessional, unkind and argumentative.
Her excuses were ( there were other patients who heard this and were shocked)”
I’M JUST MATCHING YOUR ENERGY MA’AM- Your agitated and I’m agitated back”
She made faces at me, waved her arms at me and told me to close my mouth and sit down as if I were a dog .
I explained to her that I was in pain and I was a patient, and I was asking for my medical records and for her to put in writing that she refused to schedule me a dental cleaning.
She would not put any of this in writing, disappeared behind the counter while I was talking to the one receptionist who was being polite…
She came around the corner and grabbed the polite receptionist that I was having a normal interaction with, told her that she’s not allowed to speak to me anymore and then called the police.
On a medical patient who is experiencing pain is asking for information….
The police officer said, although I committed crime and there wasn’t really a valid complaint that in the middle of a medical crisis, they denied me care refused to give me any referral, even though all members of our household are patients there- They won’t answer my phone calls trying to get clarification.
We are not criminals. We are not irrational people- We asked to speak to the actual dentist and she physically prevented us from doing so.
While I have exposed nerve pulp and broken teeth below the gum line, this woman has now made it so that I have no primary dentist and has put further barriers in place purposely to prevent me from getting pain, relief, and access to good dentistry.
She has taken every step and is issue the types of discussions. She’s had while I’ve been in the medical chair before have been unprofessional always chalked it up to being local.
Tanya Mills Has no business being employed, working face-to-face with patients in the medical field.
