What a gift you receive just upon entering the studio, it is peaceful and full of a kind and soft energy. The massage, the TLC, the meditation, the haircut were all perfect. Mostly appreciated was the intention from Cori to give me along with a gentle knowing and suggestions from her in depth experience, exactly what I needed and not what she wanted.

Adam Hess Mark is a great barber especially for guys at the university that dont have a place to get a haircut in Binghamton. He knows all the classic mens styles and always makes sure you get the kind of cut you want. This is the spot for haircuts in Binghamton. He only asks $14 per cut as well. Great for college students like me.

Katherine Hawes Vanessa is awesome! She makes sure to give you what you asked for but also offers her professional knowledge. She doesn’t typically see several clients at once so you don’t feel forgotten about in the chair. You can tell she sees what she does as artistry, not just a job and uses techniques that produce beautiful color and cuts. Plus she’s funny and you always get a good story in the chair!

Gina Bryant Vanessa is the most incredible hairdresser in the greater Binghamton area. I starting going to her around 2021 for just haircuts and I always walk out of the chair feeling amazing with the most perfect haircut! I got engaged june 2023 and Of course I had to have her get me bridal ready! Vanessa put in my highlights for my bachelorette and then a week prior to wedding. I had my K-tips as my extensions and had them installed for my hair and make-up trial, removed for a few weeks and a new install right before the wedding. I highly recommend getting your k-tips done by Vanessa! Her install was not only flawless but prior to the install, we planned how much hair we would need for this trial run and my actual wedding and ordered it all at once. I felt so relaxed that we had a plan. The color match was perfect! The install was long but install is always long no matter what, but worth it. The most comfortable extensions you can wear! If you are a bride to be or individual who is in need of a stylist, go get your k-tips, color, cut and more done by Vanessa! You won’t regret it!

Kirstine Purcell I’ve been getting k-tip extensions from Vanessa for 3 years, cut and color for almost 5. She is AMAZING! My extensions are always beautifully done and I always get a lot of compliments. My natural hair has never been thicker, longer, or healthier. If you’re looking for extensions or coloring I would strongly recommend her!

Endicott Girl I havent had my hair cut professionally in over 20 years. I read all the rave reviews about Heather and decided to take a chance. I suffer from Trichotillomania and was beyond embarrassed, but Heather made me feel so comfortable and seen. When I saw myself in the mirror after, I cried. She did such an amazing job. I cant wait to go back. She has at least one customer for life. Thank you Heather for making me feel pretty again. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

exercises time This place is literally the best hair place Ive gone to. Heather was so amazing on how she did my hair. She knew exactly what I wanted and gave me better ideas on my color and how to keep my hair nice in the long run. The customer service was awesome as well!

C Dub, Jr Went in for a beard and mustache trim and he gapped up my mustache. Now my mustache and beard dont connect. He was lining up my beard on my cheek when I heard and felt the trimmers gap my mustache. Hair flew in my eyes and everything because the hair on my mustache was so long. He tried to even it out but left a bunch of stubble on the sides of my mouth. Had to go home and fix the rest and clean it up. The only positive thing is that at least he didnt demand payment so he gets one star added back for that and he was upset that he messed up my face. His hands are shaky and he wasnt paying attention to the end of the trimmers so Im sure thats why it happened. He did knock it down on the sides and everywhere else, which is what I wanted since it was getting long and I dont want a mountain man beard, I like a trimmed up beard. However, I wanted to keep my beard and mustache intact. Not going back here again, though.

Very accommodating and they offer a wide variety of services. The atmosphere from when you walk in until when you leave, is so uplifting and welcoming. Hannah Theodora Watrobski I had an amazing experience at Canvas Salon. The salon is beautiful and I had a very personal experience. There were no distractions, phones ringing, or tons people coming in and out as each stylist works their own schedule. We ended up having the studio to ourselves. Taylor was my hair dresser. She did a fantastic job and helped tweak what I wanted with her knowledge and expertise of what would work well with my hair type. I felt like a queen and definitely did not break the bank for a cut and color. Would definitely recommend!

Veronica Ealy I love that I can trust Nicole to know how to care for my curls. She carries the best, high quality, curl-friendly products that have natural essential oils and other organic ingredients. I am super sensitive to synthetic fragrance and perfume and her products all have a gentle smell. Nicole knows about curl-safe methods of care, and is trained in curly hair. I’ve been seeing her for more than 6 years. She has done blonde in my hair, curl cuts and product education for me.

Sloo Mo0o Nicole is the best for curly hair! I have been going to her for years now. Before I met Nicole, I would cut my own hair because it was hard to find someone to make curly hair look good. Shes great at what she does and my highlights always look superb! Hlthe hair loft is a cute and cozy space with parking available. She uses Innerscence products, which are clean and high quality . She also teaches you how to make your curls look their best and tips check her out curly heads!

Krieger "We love walk-ins!" No, they do not. Made an appointment for several days later. Arrived a few minutes early to find a locked door and switched off "open" sign. Waited. Nobody showed up. Went home. Not even a phone call to reschedule or explain. Maybe they had an emergency. Otherwise, they do not respect appointments or your time and gas money. This paired with sky-high pricing should tell anyone what they need to know. Waste of time and gas.

Stacey Taylor I recently visited this salon and had Jenna as my stylist. Let me just say how awesome she is! I reached out to her because I had hand tied extensions and my hair colored by someone else previously and they were not installed correctly or the color I wanted. I texted with Jenna explaining my situation and she instantly made me feel at ease and told me she would fix me right up. At my appointment she took the time to discuss my options and listen to my needs. She reinstalled my hand tied extensions perfectly and gave me the best color she could, despite the color extensions I already have. I can’t wait to go back and have her install new hair and get me the exact color I’ve been wanting. I drove 2 hours to see her and will be driving that distance for all my appointments in the future. Next time I’ll have longer and blonder hair...I cant wait! She’s the best...hands down!

Jacob Jackowski Used to pay 40 dollars for a 20 dollar haircut at the old place I went to. Trevor is hands down best barber Ive found in Binghamton. Prices are much more fair than other shops. Hot towel was included rather than being a paid extra. Straight razor to clean the back of the neck. Trevor definitely goes the extra mile and takes pride in his work. Highly recommend

Certainly, I cannot recommend anything from this salon. The owner of the salon is aware and still nothing. I believe you could call them thieves. Totally unprofessional!!

C Lang The activities behind my hair appointments began to change within a month of my tenure at Shear Bliss. When Cassey shampooed my hair, I was constantly finding water running down my back. In late May of 2021, my appointment with Cassey resulted in my being overcharged for the service requested. When I texted Cassey that evening to inquire into the overcharge, I was notified that I had been charged sales tax for a non-taxable service. On the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, I arrived for my scheduled appointment to find the previous client still in the chair, and gossip the primary activity in the salon. Cassey was well aware of my arrival for my appointment, but the prior client remained in the chair for another half hour into my allotted time. As a result, I was delayed in meeting an ensuing medical appointment and the remainder of errands scheduled for the day. From that time forward, I decided that I would maintain only a functional and professional demeanor with Cassey; Cassey appeared unable to multi-task or focus on services dedicated to me. I arrived early or on-time for appointments as Cassey complained about and slandered individuals who utilized the salon for hair care purposes that were unhappy with being kept waiting or not being attended at scheduled times; these customers voiced their unhappiness to her. She was appalled that prospective clients would call her during working hours and expect response to their requests for appointments; she found it amusing when others believed lies she told. On one occasion I arrived for my appointment to find the door to the salon propped open and an unpleasant odor coming from within. Cassey suggested that the smell was generated by the bagel shop next door. It was later found that the stench was eliminated through application of chemicals to drains in the salon itself. It appeared that the odor of dirty smelly feet emitted from “clean” towels used on my hair may have occurred thanks to baskets of Casseys familys personal linens and clothes being laundered using salon equipment. One week later and a few minutes early for my appointment, I walked into the salon to find an individual sitting in Casseys chair who had just entered the salon. Cassey asked me to step outside to inform me that she had canceled all appointments for me and that “(they) can no longer help (me)” because of “the way that (I) spoke to (her)”, referring to me as “rude”. I informed her that were she a professional, she would have notified me in advance of her unilateral cancellation decision. In conclusion, Cassey has revealed a true reflection of her lack of professionalism in conduct of business and a specific disdain for treating me with respect and consideration. Accordingly, I seek compensation for the time wasted by Cassey in failing to adhere to appointments she herself has scheduled and in creating additional demands on my life in my being required to seek alternative means for having my hair care needs met.
