Celeste Yglesia All of the hair dressers seem amazing here although I can only speak from experience about Beck. Shes awesome, and patiently listens to what you want and need, it never feels like a rushed job. I have curly hair and have never learned so much about my hair from a hair dresser. She is the real deal and is the reason why my hair is sexy AF. Also the vibes of this place are off the charts, I feel like Im the protagonist of a 90s girl power movie every time I come in. Highly recommend.

Beck Hart Run, don’t walk, to see the wonderfully talented stylists who run Oak Hair Studio!!! I don’t even think I’d be able to properly articulate the feeling I got after Chris gave me a haircut! As a stylist, it’s difficult to find the time to be able to get my own hair cut, but Chris made it happen with our hectic schedules, and I’m so thankful. I quite literally drooled during her shampoo, and I felt so very relaxed in her chair. Wonderful conversationalist, sensational styling skills, and impeccable perception and understanding to what the clients needs are. This shag haircut is EXACTLY what I wanted.

Serena Wunderlich Avante Salon is wonderful! Alicia has given me great cuts and colors consistently for many years. I get compliments on my hair often. She is very responsive to me trying a new hairstyles and listens to my needs. She is always professional and kind and the salon is clean and comfortable. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Sarah Litwinenko My first time at Oak Hair Studio and I will definitely be back! Melissa was very nice and did a wonderful job with my haircut and blow-dry. (Not to mention the scalp massage during my wash!) Definitely one of the best haircuts I have gotten. The shop is small and very clean and nicely decorated. You can tell the owners/stylists love what they do and enjoy working together. Thank you Melissa!

Kylie Marie The owner was a very nice Italian man who listened well to what I wanted and did a good job on my hair which is curly and a bit tricky to work work with. The best part of my experience was the affordable price!

Latina Khalil I recently moved upstate from the city where there are Dominican Hair Salons everywhere. I was nervous I wouldnt find a place that had experience with my curls. I am so happy someone recommended Yolanda. She is so caring and kind and definitely knows what she is doing. In fact, I think this is the best wash and set I have ever received. She did the best wash ever and handled my curls with care. She even gave me suggestions for hair products I can use for my curls. It has been about a week and my hair still looks great! So happy I found a place!:)

Cheyenne I have been going to Yolanda for many years. I highly recommend her salon. Shes amazing, professional and the nicest hair stylist. The atmosphere is always pleasant. She does the best wash and set!

Paulette Young One of the best salons in the area. The stylist is friendly, listens to her clients, and provides advice on hair treatment and care. She is one of the few salons in the area providing natural hair care.

26cuddles I’ve went to Yolanda twice. The first time was a decent experience, only thing that I can say is that she doesn’t use the roller brush when she blow dries your hair, she uses a comb. I just moved to the area and where I’m originally from I’m used to Dominican salons using the roller brush which gives your hair more body and bounce. The second time I went to get my hair done by Yolanda, I felt as if she didnt care for my curls. I have very kinky hair and it’s important to be gentle. Yolanda recommended a relaxer or keratin which I was offended. I havent put a relaxer in my hair for over 4 years and my hair gets very straight after a roller set and blow dry. Yolanda also did not detangle my hair and used a small toothed comb to comb out my curls before placing the rollers. There were tons of hair in the comb as I feel she was damaging my hair. Again, i have kinky curly hair. A wide tooth comb would have been more appropriate. I’m disappointed because anyone with a license should know how to care for all types of hair and different textures. Unfortunately I will not be returning back to Yolanda.

Katrina Colleton She is phenomenal she is the only hairdresser that straightens my hair and it doesnt smell burnt I would recommend everyone including my own mother to get their hair done from Yolanda she never overcharges She is Truly a blessing in disguise Yolanda is always pleasant and inviting and the atmosphere in the salon is comfortable and relaxed

Julianne Rocco Maryjane did a fantastic job on my bridal hair! I had a very specific look I was going for, and without extensions, she was able to make me feel like Audrey Hepburn. (I wish I had better pictures, but Im still waiting for them to come in from our photographer). Also, all 4 of my bridesmaids, MOB & MOG loved their hair. Having thick, straight, Asian hair, a few of us were worried that our curls and volume wouldnt make it to the end of the night, but our hair lasted the entire day (even in the rain). We were able to party and dance all night long without worrying about our hair. Thank you so much for making my wedding the best day ever!!!

Sarah Albright My hair came out amazing!!! Paula did such an amazing job!! I got blonde highlights and a "lob" haircut. Lob= long bob. I got about 2 feet of hair cut off! And it is a huge difference, but the best haircut/highlights that I have ever gotten. I will most definitely be back to Beautiful images

Linda So I wish I could give zero , but not an option. I called on 3 separate occasions to make an appointment because of great reviews I read. Left messages for a call back. Have had no response. I am actually happy now my call was not returned because I really don’t want to go to a place that runs business that way. So happy to say I called another salon with great reviews and they returned my call right away and scheduled appointment. Guess your salon doesn’t need the business.

LARUE Fine I have lived in many places including Europe. For the last 5 years only Wayne has cut my hair. I would travel a great distance if I had to in order to go to this salon. Thankfully I live close. Wayne could easily be famous and command high dollars. However he is a down to earth great guy. My fiancé has been going to him since he opened many years ago. All the staff are great. Wayne is a consummate artist; a sculptor of hair!

Autumn Thomes Kaitlyn always does a great job and shes very gentle with my sensitive head (many brain surgeries) which is very important for me. Shes pleasant to chat with as well!

Keekoh Martin So the place was beautiful and I loved my pedicure, but when I told the lady my toe hurt after she cut it she kept on buffing over the cut. Safe to say my toe is infected and had to go to the ED. :/ thanks :( I kept it a 3 because my nails were great for the first few days then started to chip. The cut was extremely deep. 2 weeks later and this is what it looks like.

Melanie Delano Always a phenomenal job. Berta is the best. I love my French manicure, but I let her pick the design. She never disappoints. The staff is friendly, like family. Ive been going there for 4 years. I wont let anyone else touch my nails.

Debra Lynn Apparently, the person who speaks no English and doesn’t know much about what she’s doing is the only person who does a regular manicure and pedicure. I asked for someone else and they said she’s the only one who does it for the second time. I went back she yet again Buffed my skin bloody. My ingrown toenails were not fixed and to boot they charge me an extra Six dollars to buff. I give it two stars because the price. Is the least in the area. But I’m not coming back. Injuring me twice is more than I bargained for.

paul liz COULDNT BE HAPPIER! But I Should have listened the first time… today I wasted good money getting my nails done in the Albany mall. They looked terrible (before and after picture) I don’t get nails done that often but I will be attending a wedding next weekend. I walked out of the mall hopped on the thruway and called beauty depot (I’m local to them) they squeezed me in (mind you it was later on in the evening), and did such a great job fixing what had been done. I have been recommended this place for a while now and should have made it my one and only stop to treat myself. Lesson learned. I am so thankful for them and their professional work and pleasant atmosphere. 10/10.

Monae Shannon My first time going to this salon and the salon was clean and calm. The nail tech was very nice and gentle. I went in for a fill-in on my acrylic nails (set done at previous salon), and he cleaned and reshaped it up nicely. I will definitely give this place another try in a few weeks.

Josh Great Hair cut but if you go in the middle of the day, than expect long wait times. This place can get crowded quickly. If you feel like its your turn than speak up. Id recommend going first thing in the morning. Like try to be there when they open. But once you get a haircut you wont be disappointed.

Since I’m about to move out of state, I had to come one last time to get my hair colored by Maria, and I’m still so in awe of the wonderful work she did! I have dark, very thick, curly hair and Maria went above and beyond to give me the color I wanted! She is so attentive to detail and making sure that her clients get the best service ever. Melissa Root We had the BEST experience at Love Hair Salon. From the moment we entered, we were made to feel so welcomed and cared for. It honestly felt like I was being greeted by friends and family. I was offered beautiful snacks and my choice of teas or coffees. There was a comfortable cozy place to sit, in a beautiful, warm, inviting atmosphere. I drove over an hour one way to bring my daughter to have her first proper blowout and a trim. It was worth every min in the car. Everyone was so kind, patient and supportive with her and with me. Tia is an amazing human, a talented hair and beauty expert and an inspiring example of a kind, independent, entrepreneurial woman. Her staff and customers were lovely and friendly and made us feel so welcome. We could not have been happier with the results and the experience. We cannot wait to go back. It was a special treat. Ashley Fulton Ive been here a few times for my hair extensions now, and every time I visit, I end up leaving with a smile on my face! All the staff, including the owner, are very friendly and welcoming. They are more than willing to teach me all about hair care and they also call their clients after their appointments to check in with them individually. I cannot recommend this place enough!

HappyLabTails Tendrils is great. My hair stylist there is Lori Palladino. Shes great. Talented and funny to converse with. But all the other stylists there are friendly and wonderful too. They all seem to enjoy their work and excel at it. Its a nice little place with experienced, caring stylists.

Nugget Queen TL;DR: Best haircut of my life, 10/10, will definitely be back again. So, I had been growing my hair out for about two years. I had neglected my curls and threw my hair up in a ponytail every day. It was time to do something, so on a whim, I booked an appointment at Pugslys. I picked out a specific haircut that I wanted, and having had some bad experiences at other barbershops in the past, I was preparing myself not to get what I wanted. From the second I walked in and sat in Andrews chair, everyone in the shop was so nice. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the music was relaxing. Andrew knocked it out of the park for me. It was the first time in my life of getting my haircut that I got EXACTLY what I wanted. Andrew was amazing!!! He took his time to make sure to give me a great haircut. I have never been a "regular" at a barbershop, but for the first time ever, I dont ever want to have my haircut anywhere else.

Adam Skovron Pugslys Barbershop is a great local barber with an old school vibe, professional barbers, welcoming and friendly environment, with plenty of parking nearby. Andrew is a very experienced barber there and a good guy. Highly recommended

Yanna Wilson Dana was awesome working with my Autustic son. Dana was patient, interactive, and overall seems like a solid person. Plus, she did a great job on his curly hair. We’ll definitely be booking with them again.

Joe dePiro I was 25 minutes late for a 12:30p haircut and beard trim with Dana. When I arrived Dana said I had to make another appointment and I would be charged $35 for the full cost of the missed appointment. I thought about just leaving (without paying the $35) but I decided to make a 2pm appointment instead and honor my commitment. So I came back at 1:30pm, and Dana took me at 1:55pm. She did a decent job with the haircut and trim.. and she finished at 2:15pm. So I paid $70 for a 20 minute haircut/trim… even though the block of time booked online for a haircut/beard trim is 45 minutes. I felt ripped off. I also wonder if they offer rebates if the barber is running late for your appointment because with these strict rules it should go both ways.

No Name As someone who colors my hair often, my hair is always in difference shades and colors! Pavel was very experienced as hes been in the business for over 25yrs! He had me show him pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like and informed me of the process. He color corrected my hair and did his magic. I was very happy and will see him again soon!

Robert Sykes Dominic and his Sister Gina are Friendly, Professional and overall Fantastic. I started going to Dream Weavers Style & Health Center a few years back havent been anywhere else since. Now my wife kids all go for haircuts, trims and coloring. I highly recommend Dream Weavers Style & Health Center to Individuals and Families

Bridget Flynn Arrived for my appointment and then my stylist disappeared for 20 minutes. Nowhere to put your coat or purse. The other stylists were looking at their phones or standing in the way. Plenty of other hair salons in town that are better, even if more expensive per service.

Brianna LaBarbera If I could leave a zero star I would . This is the worst hair cut of my life I really contemplated doing this review, but I’m at the point I want to warn others. My beautiful healthy hair looks like it was butchered by a five-year-old. My hair is nothing like what I wanted and I even described and showed photos of what I wanted so everything was clear . But as soon as you take scissors and start cutting there’s no going back. I had my hair done with some who had “ 30 years of experience “ but Also I feel that’s if you have this much experience, you should know that if you’re a heavy smoker, you should Very mindful of how your cigarette hands smell. Putting some oil with fragrance , does not fix the smell it just now made your hands smell like cigarettes and cinnamon. I literally had a hold my breath every time her hands in my face talk about disgusting . I showed her how I wanted my hair to fall with how I specifically part my hair just to make sure it looked exactly like the way I wanted. I specifically showed her the length also because I still wanted to be able to tuck it behind my ears and still have some room after that. I hate my hair and I know it’s just hair but you have now ruined my hair. Now I have to figure out how to style it . most likely going to live in a terrible ponytail until my hair grows out more. Or pay to have something done by someone’s else 10/10 do not recommend!!

Elizabeth Currie Tracy is a fantastic hairdresser! She’s cut my hair a couple of times and left with a beautiful, fashionable pixie that makes me look a decade younger. I’ll really recommend her and the locale is very agreeable.

Carol Dysard I haven’t had a haircut in several years and chose April &Co after looking into various salons. I chose April, and was happy with my choice! She was sweet and easy to talk to. She listened to my wishes and executed them while also providing suggestions, which I agreed to. I’m happy with my haircut, the attention paid to me, the overall price and the environment. Overall a positive experience and I would highly recommend getting your hair cut here!

The Wolf Family I never write reviews, but I immediately left and HAD to. I booked online, Hannah texted me and was so accommodating, as far as getting me in sooner & went over exactly what I wanted. Nichale did my hair & what a transformation. Super relaxed environment, I am incredibly impressed & happy. I now have a permanent place to go to. Also I asked about extensions and Hannah (owner ) was extremely helpful, and answered all of my questions.

Mikaela truly brings so much talent and love to what she does, I always love my hair more every time I visit! Cara Schmidt Ive been going to Lundy for 2 years now, and she has slowly brought my terribly damaged, greying pandemic hair back to life. She was so patient working with me on the color. As a redhead, I am admittedly a bit picky in getting it just right. But she kept tweaking it as I asked, and now even my mother doesnt realize when I get my hair colored because it looks so natural! The salon itself is beautiful and always has wonderful new art. I love going.

Dan Melwani An absolutely horrible experience with Taylor Weiss. She is a horrible colorist and turned my hair brassy. Did not know what she was doing and in desperation cut my hair. I don’t recommend Le Shag to anyone. Mediocre at its best.

Linda Keil I do like the high and low lights on my French bob, but the $357 price tag including tip was way more than I thought it would be. I won’t be returning. It’s just way to expensive for the service.

Hanah Fischer October 7th 2023 Bride here!! We went to mirror mirror for the wedding it was nothing short or amazing! I went into get a trial before hand she worked with me on scheduling so that it would be for my bachelorette party it came out beautiful. I had one complaint on our trial run, she reassured me she seen what I was saying and made sure to fix it before I left day of trial and it wasn’t an issue day of the wedding. ( the hairs framing my face proofed up she clipped them up which made a huge difference ) They did mine and seven other girls hair for my wedding! Definitely recommend them for any services!!

Katherine McGrane Highly recommend! Janice & Jamie provide an amazing client centered experience as soon as you walk in the door. I had color correction, balayage, conditioning/strengthening treatments, cut, & blowout done. All services were done impeccably & quickly & were reasonably priced. Janice & Jamie were both extremely knowledgeable & friendly. 10/10 customer service. I have NEVER left a salon looking & feeling so good.

Rachel Nadynia I went for the first time to get all my hair dyed brown & showed a picture too. I paid $200+ My hair turned out orange and red and was left like that, i kinda liked it but i expected it to be the color i wanted (Brown).!

kaciethesloth Jamie is my absolute favorite hairstylist locally and she is the only person I fully trust to do my hair. Every time she never fails to give an amazing haircut, makes enduring and fun conversation, consistently makes an effort to be a genuine person, and is very efficient and quick with her work. I have been a consistent customer of Jamie’s for the past 3yrs now, and have followed her through all of her moves to here. Mirror Mirror is also by far one of the best kept and aesthetically pleasing salons I’ve been to locally as well now

Marji Zintz I wish I could give more than five stars! This is the third time Jamie Peterson has done my hair and, Im telling you, if you have hair, you want Jamie to cut it! Especially curly hair, but really ANY hair! Shes brilliant...she knows exactly what to do, and shes such a wonderful person to hang out with besides!! I walked in with a mess on my head and walked out looking like I had someplace special to go!!! Its such a treat to get my hair done by Jamie! Im serious. Make the appointment. Bunny Baby Hi, it’s zion! Sherry was lovely! I am pregnant and was crying because I had gotten my hair done somewhere else and it wasnt what I wanted at all, she didn’t make me feel dramatic for crying and she fixed up my hair amazingly. It was only my second time there and yet I feel comfortable there already, definitely my go to salon now :)) Laura is just as lovely and did my hair greatly the first time i went there :)) I also have scalp psoriasis and getting my hair done makes it easier for me to care for it and keep it under control, I’m not sure if they saw any flakes but if they did they didn’t bring them up or make me feel embarrassed in any sort of way.

zach blauvelt Sherry is very friendly very quick and professional. Makes you feel comfterable talking to you while your getting your hair cut. The prices are very fair as well 10 out of 10. 100% recommended
