Amanda Castillo I would put 0 if I could! This was the first and last time I will come here. The only thing good about this place is the front desk clerk and the lady that take the x-rays and asks all the questions, she was amazingly sweet. I left that place in tears and in pain, feeling like i let someone work on my teeth that does not care one bit if he is causing you pain or not. when I got there, he immediately cleaned my teeth , which was so painful i kept trying to move around and was hollering because it felt as though he was cutting up my gums, and which he continued without even stopping for a sec to let me process what exactly he is doing. And just the fact that i was told "we are not trying to hurt you, you are okay we are not trying to hurt you" as though they have to re assure me that its okay. There was so much more but I will leave it at that, my daughter and I will be going somewhere else!

Samantha Lupold Hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. The whole staff is extremely welcoming, very friendly and they make every visit a good experience. Dr. Singh is absolutely AMAZING. Nobody likes going to the dentist but everyone at Cortland Dental makes it pleasant so now its a breeze bringing myself to go, they make my anxiety disappear! Lisa Aristidou I want to first start out with the fact that Ive had a dental phobia/anxiety my entire life starting at the age of 4. So in my adult years instead of getting fillings and crowns I would ask for an extraction as it was a faster procedure then sitting in the chair for what could be hours! Through the years my teeth started breaking off at the gum line because I was over having panic and anxiety attacks in the "chair". My teeth were horrible the pain was getting unbearable and I was dealing with abscess after abscess. and at this point now un fixable! So I made an appointment with Cortland Dental.I was mortified of my teeth! I had not smiled for years!!! On the 1st visit the tech...her name was either Hannah or Paige sorry I Always got it mixed up! Anyway she could read me like a book and understood my anxiety she was so sweet and kind letting me know everything was going to be ok! Her and Dr.Singh and the front receptionist desk always treated me with kindness and dignity as I was so embarrassed by my mouth! Well Dr.Singh was AMAZING!!! And he was FAST!!! Im telling you he had all my teeth extracted broken ones and all ...He pulled 20 plus teeth in less then 10 minutes!!! Ive had extractions at other dentists that it took 20 mins to pull 1...!!!! And not only was he fast and accurate and professional he would always say "Hi Friend" when he walked in the room for every denture appointment I had!!! Yesterday I got my dentures and they are BEAUTIFUL!!! I hugged him,said "love you & Thank you" I recommend him to everyone especially if you have dental anxiety! They offered if I wanted the window open in the room! They have an adorable office Kitty that will let you pet it and that calmed my nerves also apparently there are 2 office cats but I only saw the 1 Tiger kitty. The entire staff Rocks!!! Thank You Cortland Dental for my beautiful smile!!!!

A Turner I am so pleased with this office. There is never any wait time and I was able to get an appointment within this century. I needed a lot of work done and Dr. Singh was able to address my needs, provide a care plan and since have been moving through it quickly. All of the staff are kind and professional. I get a lot of anxiety because of past dental experiences and I feel so comfortable with Dr. Singh. He is not pushy, rude, or treats you like customer. He always makes sure I am comfortable during the visit and thankfully gets the work done as quick as possible. I definitely recommend.

Anita Hanford My first visit was today. Everyone was super nice. Kimmie was the X-ray technician. She was very careful to be sure I was comfortable. Maria did a great job cleaning my teeth. She let me know exactly what she was doing and when. Doctor Yates took the time to discuss my concerns. They all were friendly, and you could tell they likes working with one another. Im looking forward to my next visit, if you can say that about going to the dentist!

Ann Seymour After my dentist of 25+years retired, I had to find a new one in my network. I was so nervous to start all over. The hygienist Maria was amazing! She made me feel very comfortable, and to be honest, it was probably the best cleaning I have had. I actually look forward to going back in 6 months lol. Great staff all around.

Robin Hackman Ive never had a problem until this past year. They cancelled my appointment 3 times cause they said they didnt have a hygienist to do the cleaning. First time they cancelled my appointment the hygienist was out cause she had a baby. Ok thats fine no problem I get it. The receptionist said its gonna be 6 months to reschedule then I got pissed off. Second & third time they cancelled my appointment I was pissed off now Im having a hard time getting a hold of them cause my front tooth they repaired is loose & I have a bad taste that is draining to the back of my mouth probably an infection. I called today & I just get a busy signal. I didnt know they were closed on Mondays but needless to say Im not really a happy customer right now. Ive never had a bad experience with them they always have been very kind & gentle & caring but its been over a year since I saw them cause they keep cancelling out on me.

Crystal If I could give no stars I would. My daughter had a cleaning done and she was terrified after she left. The dentist was 30 seconds than left the room. My child is 16 and not a complainer but when she was almost crying because of her experience. If I had read the recent reviews I never would of tried this place out. Only went because its in network. Insurance is a joke with what limited choices we have.

Tina Sturdevant I wouldnt have even gave them one star if I didnt have to. Every since the previous dentist left, Iona or something close to that, they are Terrible! The dentist in there now is rude, unprofessional, ( he was trying to talk the dental assistant into going to the bar with him after work) and very rough. I have never felt so much pain at the dentist before and I have a fear of the dentist, so that just made it worse. Theres no way I will ever go back there. Currently searching for a new dentist that has compassion for their patients.

Dean Hawthorne I had a new crown done,. The doctors were great, esp. Dr. Krause. The staff is very welcoming. I knew upfront how much it would cost, and unlike my previous dentist, Aspen is a participating provider under my insurance, so almost everything was covered. Very happy experience.

Alyssa Sovocool This location has been terrible for me from the start, but it was easy to get appointments for cleanings the past few years, so I put up with it. I dealt with incorrect insurance billing, then had to call them repeatedly for my refund, generally rude receptionists who were not helpful at all throughout their billing mistakes, the list goes on. I had a cleaning scheduled 6 months ago for today. They emailed me Sunday that it had been cancelled. I can’t get into another dentist for a cleaning for months. I see other reviews that say the location has been just plain closed, so why did I just get this notification? I will never set foot in an Aspen Dental again, I’ve heard numerous horror stories. Not to even mention the products they always try to sell you during every cleaning! I guess the positive out of all of this is that I finally found another dentist that isn’t run by a money-hungry corporation. Stay far away from Aspen if you can.

Annalise Murphy When I mad the appointment initially it was a great experience. My appointment was at 12pm I got there five minutes early and the front desk staff was great! I waited in the waiting room for 35 minutes. I have worked in a medical office so I understand that Drs get behind, but you would think someone would let the patient know. I went in for my x-rays and that was okay. I got back to the hygienist who started off with trying to sell me a toothbrush they sell at there location without even looking at my teeth. She did her exam and said that I needed to get a special cleaning. I thought okay I had not had a cleaning in a year that might make sense. Then the dentist came in and looked at my X-ray and said I must be having a lot of pain in one of my back teeth. I said nope but she insisted that I did and asked several more times about pain and how I was with ice cold drinks and hot drinks. I told her that I was not having any pain in my tooth my reason for coming in was because I wanted to get a cleaning because it had been about a year since I had my last one. She then proceeded with my exam and poked at the tooth she felt needed a root canal at this point. She then again asked me if I felt any pain or discomfort as she ones at the previous fill in the tooth. I again told her nope I’m not feeling any pain or discomfort at all. She then said that she wanted to take out my filling to see if the X-ray was wrong which she said sometimes happens. After all this happened I was sent to speak to a nice man who went over what they wanted to do for me at my next appointment. He had to go back and speak to the dentist because it was unclear to what she wanted to do at my next appointment. He came back and said that she wanted me to do a filling that would mostly lead to a root canal and a deep cleaning that would be a two part cleaning. I asked about price and because it was a special cleaning and I needed the filling the price was going to be over $400.00. The nice man walked me thought the pricing and gave me an option to apply for a credit program which I got approved for but it was at a high interest rate. I said that I would call to make my next appointment. I will not be going back and my son who has a new patient appointment will not be going and my husband will be canceling his appointment as well. We will find a dentist that does not look for problems that are not there and that don’t offer to do the treatment plans that are crazy expensive to get the most out of the patient. I truly appreciate the front desk staff they were great but the hygienist and the dentist act as if they are going not looking out for the patient best interest but only for the money they can make the company!!!

Justin Herbel A clean, comfortable, and inviting waiting room. The office manager is exceptionally friendly. Dr. Ariza has great bedside manner, explains things clearly and concisely, and demonstrates a high degree of competence. Highly recommended.

Connie Kan I had my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. This was the first time i had such procedure done and was understandably nervous. Doctor did an excellent job explaining the options during my consultation. His staff also did a great job to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. The after care was solid and they make sure that i understand what needs to be done with the open wound. He was so gentle during the process that I didnt feel anything during and afterward. I got a prescription for pain killer but i didnt even need that (noted -- i have a very low pain tolerance). I will highly recommend anyone to come to his practice for similar procedures. Oh, did i mention the cherry on the top -- the cost of the procedure is so reasonable that I didnt get that in Ithaca (which is only half an hour away). THANK YOU for the great experience!!

Ann S Yesterday was the first time I have had a tooth pulled in 40 years so I was very nervous. The receptionist Krissy was very welcoming and friendly. The assistant Tamara was amazing. She was there for even a 55 year old who still needs her hand held lol. Dr. Sangiacomo was funny yet very reassuring through the whole process. I hope I never have to have a procedure done again but if I do then this is the place Im definitely going to .

Mel Solomon Dr SanGiacomo is a hidden gem. His practice is in Cortland NY out of the way, but that is where you can find the best oral surgery care. His office staff are efficient and friendly. His medical assistants are caring and competent. And the Dr is just a good doctor. This is the third extraction over many years that he has done for me and I felt better in two days post surgery. I know that every procedure is different but a short recuperation for me tells me that I had less trauma than I expected. He also did an implant for me in the past, in a front tooth (that must look good since it is right up front). I am just very pleased with how he and staff treat their patients.

Shania Newkirk I had a cavity redone twice by two different dentist, and was still having difficulties with it. I made appointments with other dentists that couldn’t figure out the issue or kept canceling on me, so I made an appointment here. Within 10 minutes my issue was fixed and the service was extremely friendly. Very happy with my visit.

Bill Cifaratta Ive never had a dentist visit like this and I hope never to again. The spit bowl was stained- or maybe it was dirty. I MIGHT have spent 15 or 20 minutes in the chair- including X-rays, cleaning and exam. The exam felt like he was using a drill and the cleaning was faster than Ive ever experienced. Gotta wonder...

Paula Swem My experience at this dental place was not very good. I called ahead to make sure that they took Medicare patients and they said yes so I made an appointment on December 13, 2021 to get a couple of things done I needed a filling and I needed to ask a question about the sharp edges on my teeth. The first experience there I had to step up to the receptionist desk but when I turned around I didn’t remember that the staff was there and I fell on my tailbone. I was never offered an incident report for my fall. I am not blaming anyone for that it’s very well noted that you have to step up and be careful. I think they should’ve been something written or recorded about the fall. I had talked about two things that I needed to have looked at during my visit. I needed a filling and the sharp edges on my teeth fixed. The dentist said he couldn’t do anything about the sharp edges because it would throw my bite off so he didn’t fix that also I did not get my filling fixed. The dentist asked me if I wanted a cleaning done and I said that would be nice. I asked her dental assistant if the dentist had done anything to the sharp part of my teeth and she said no he just a did the cleaning so I said well I will have to make another appointment to get the filling done. She said no you’re all done and you don’t have to come back for six months to get another cleaning. At this point I’m confused and I think that I shouldn’t go back to this dentist I wasn’t pleased with how everything went. I am 72 years old so my teeth are old teeth.

Sharon Holbert I have been going to this office since she took over from Dr Argentine. She and her staff are humble, gracious and listen to their patients. They also do phenonemal work, whether its a simple (or not so simple!) cleaning, filling or more complicated extractions/implants. I highly recommend!

Stephannie Luevano Friendly staff, only good things to say. I originally came in to have two wisdom teeth looked at. The doctor took x-rays and took his time to explain to me why I needed to have all four out. So the appointment was scheduled and just yesterday I got all four of my wisdom teeth out. They put me to sleep and it was covered by my insurance. I appreciate the dentist’s sense of humor along with his assistant’s. I would go back if I had to do it again.

Steve Cinquanti Who knew you could love going to the dentist! The highly skilled Dr Dentes has a beautiful modern facility with state of the art equipment and his staff is uniformly calming, caring and upbeat. Everyone there clearly loves what they do and it shows in the patient experience.

PanamaSticks My experience was several years ago. Frankly I dont know about Dr. Douglas. His patients like him. But my experience with his hygienist was hell on earth. And so I never went back to his office. I went to Douglass office with no real problems to report, excepting some cold and hot sensitivity. But my main reason was to get a cleaning and exam. I was in pain for three weeks after she got done with me. Nearly all of the work was done with a high intensity ultrasound scaling tool, which irritated the hell out of my teeth and gums. She had her hands in my mouth almost continuously, so I was choking on my spit. They dont let patients rinse and spit, so you have to wait till she vacuums the spit out of your mouth. Which was pretty much NEVER. Finally all of this torture was being conducted while she ranted about her husband. (Or was that the ex-husband? Cant remember.) Maybe she just had a bad day. Or maybe I couldve requested a different hygienist next time... I dont know. I didnt want to risk a second visit.

Ryan Williams Hygienists seemed nice enough, service was fine. Main issue was parking. There was literally NO WHERE to park in their parking lot. Which was quite surprising because there were not a lot of patients in the office at the time. Ended up parking in a random parking lot for a separate business (sorry!). Seriously, expand your parking lot, remodel it, have separate parking for your staff. Idk do something about this parking space issue. This was my fifth time being at the office and the third time I couldn’t find a parking space.

Carrara Knoetgen I was visiting Cortland from out of town and had a dental emergency. Called several area dentists hoping for after hours assistance and got Dr. Whipples number. Dr. Whipple called back within the hour from his own home and took time away from his family to recommend an appropriate course of action for my circumstances. Could not have been more impressed with his kindness and concern for a patient he did not know. He asked the right questions, gave me a list of dos and donts and gave me the information and peace of mind I needed to get through the weekend. In comparison, I contacted my regular dentists emergency line yesterday, and have still not heard back. Thank you, Dr. Whipple.

Bernard Bochenski All, I was in trouble on July 15th 2019, and needed a dentist, right away. I had nowhere to turn, at the time. My dentist, of a dozen years, did not respond to my pleas for help. I couldnt understand, as my wife and I had been seeing this dentist, in Ithaca, for many years! I was in terrible pain, for days. I contacted Dr. Whipples office based, on his existing rating. After describing what my issue was, the staff at Seven Valley Dental, arranged for me to see the Dr., in less than an hour and a half. That is unheard of! Amazing. The Dr. helped with my dental issue, prior to a prearranged appointment with an oral specialist, later that day. My general dentist did NOTHING to help me! Again, I have no idea why not. I contacted the office three (3) times, about my plight. Awful! My wife and I are seniors and need stability and assurance that our dental needs will be met with understanding and compassion. Dr. Whipple and his entire staff at Seven Valley Dental provided that for me. I understand that this review is my own personal experience. However, one needs to look at the other posts about this dental practice. Cortland residents are very lucky to have such a great dentist in their midst!!!!! Renee C This place is the best! I have an extreme fear of the dentist. The last thing I wanted was a root canal, but Dr. Burgess made it completely painless. He was patient, kind, and didnt mind my tears or the fact I had a stuffed animal with me (Im 49 btw). He waited until I was ready to begin and made the entire process easy. I never felt a thing. His lovely assistant Lexi was just that: lovely. If you need dental work, this is where you go.

Todd Davenport My dentist had sent my x-rays two weeks prior to my appointment on the morning of my appointment. My dentist again sent them at 8:12 in the morning at 11:30 in the morning. They said there was no x-rays and I needed to get x-ray at a wonderful cost of $187. And they told me they couldn’t do the work

Nancy Stout I just love Dr. Clifford and her staff! Ive been a patient of theirs for many years. Cleanings every six months has been my normal interaction with them until it wasnt. I felt a big hole in the back of my teeth and wasnt even aware something happened. I, of course, panicked just knowing that I was going to have some major tooth pain. I called the office to see if I could get in to see what I had done and they made me an appointment and also put me on a cancelation list. I got a call that they had a cancelation and in I went. Turns out I had two teeth chip and needed to have them both repaired. Past experience has made me apprehensive to have work done on my teeth as pain usually resulted. Im pleased to say that it was painless (numbing needle included) and I was on my way out of the office in less than 30 minutes. If you are looking for a new dentist, you cant go wrong with Dr. Clifford and her staff! They make you feel like family❣️
