5 /5 Mary Naughton: I nearly drove by this place on my way to a supermarket not too far away. We turned around to give them a try, we hadn’t eaten yet and this place looked like a lovely spot to grab a bite. Inside it’s just as cute as the outside. I love the architectural detailing on the outside and inside is a classic diner vibe.
We were warmly greeted. You can seat yourself when you arrive, they accept card and cash. They have an all-day breakfast or delicious lunch options and even Perry’s ice cream varieties. As it was nearing midday, we opted for the breakfast burger, a delicious beef burger (cooked to your liking) topped with an egg, chips and a pickle served alongside. The burger with egg was delicious and cooked perfectly. You can choose to have lettuce, tomato, and/or onion on your burger or none at all. Though. There isn’t any sauce on the bun, mayo, aioli, or anything. This was fine for me with the egg on it, it wasn’t needed, but if you’d like something on it you can mention it. They do offer ketchup, but they may have something else if you inquire.
Their sodas are Pepsi products. The ice cream we had was Perry’s chocolate in a small cone and Perry’s Strawberry in a small dish. The strawberry was that delicious bright flavor with real strawberries and the exact flavor that celebrates a hot day. This is a lovely spot and I’m sure we’ll be back to try more of their items. I love the marble tables with iron posts, and the lovely spherical lamps. Just a hint, look up from where you’re seated, there were hooks just above my head (a good bit higher) to hang coats or in my case, a purse so it’s not on the floor. I was glad to see it but not sure if that was just at my table, as I was near a door.
