Pounds each, horrible nutrition, unsafe living conditions, etc. Also, my aunt was the driver as my uncle had physical restrictions from stroke. My husband and I came in August to do a welfare check (I live two days drive) and was shocked at their condition. They needed immediate assistance- we went to her to get a recommendation for assisted living (required). When I quizzed her as to why she did not contact friends, family, or social services to do a welfare check, she responded that my uncle “said they were fine”. Anyone could see they were not fine. I was appalled. Her lack of concern and annoyance at my question were obvious.
