4 /5 Dylan Scotch: Great park, I did my drivers test here, very easy except there is a school zone. Very well as to where park for it, just no sign saying he does the tests in the order that you park. The park itself is nice, the bathrooms were locked but it is probably because of Clovis.

4 /5 Kathi Spilberg: Been taking kids to play here for years. The spray park & playground are fairly close together, has bathrooms & trees for shade and plenty of open field to run. Street parking is often an issue, especially for those with mobility limitations.

5 /5 Carol Rotondi: I love Austin Park. Went to see my grandson in a soccer game that was a donation game. It was no teams. It was just people who wanted to play in this game. Then teams were picked and each player paid $10 to play. The winners got to pick where the donation was sent. The kids enjoy picnicing and the water park in the summer.

Mawignack Preserve - Catskill

Emily Crimmins: This preserve is a collaboration with Greene Land Trust and Scenic Hudson. For a brand new trail(opened last month,) I have to admit I was a bit disappointed. First things first: getting there: google maps was way off on where this was far as when it was giving me directions. Snake Road veers off to the left of West Main as you’re heading to Jefferson Heights. Snake Road is aptly named because it is narrow and serpentine. You’ll see the trail sign and a parking area to the right. The first thing I noticed was when I started the trail, I could see houses and hear loud music and talking. Not a great start. It did finally recede. The trail in places was very overgrown with only a narrow track in the middle of waist high grass. Anyone in tick areas knows this isn’t great. Be careful with your footing here because I nearly stepped on a snake and a turtle. The red flares are placed frequently. The only confusing part was near the riverfront views. It seemed a trail went off to the left but no flares and private property signs so I guess not. The forest trails were wide and clear. This is a mile loop trail. So, okay, but I definitely think the grass trails could be better mown/maintained.

Thomas Cole National Historic Site - Catskill

Ashby Landon (pure mahem): I arrived here 5 minutes after they closed. Considering I also came back when they were open to collect my National Park Passport Cancellation Stamp, I prefer my timing. This was awesome to explore, and I had the grounds to myself. I found the staff to be helpful but they were a bit cold. Typical for an Art Gallery,not so much for a National Park. I dont know if youd have all that much better of a time if you bought a ticket to tour the houses and out buildings. The true treasure is the property and landscape, which was the focus of Thomas Coles Landscape Art.

Statue of Rip Van Winkle - Catskill

Richard Gard: Cute statue selfie-background. The town is almost empty with evidence of Redevelopment builders and bond salesmen coming through years back- cute cat statues everywhere displaying cat skills. We were glad we saw it all and the water views.

Kaaterskill Falls, Viewing Platform - Palenville

Sharon Trinidad: The Kaaterskills falls is very doable, me and family walked the mile to the falls, then hiked down to the falls, we took about 3 hours, only because we stopped for breaks. It was killer walking back up from the falls, the steps up were so steep. I thought it was worth it, loved it! Nice to check off the bucket list!

The Old Catskill Game Farm - Inn & Campsites - Catskill

Jesse Bisceglia: I found adventure at Catskill Game Farm. Exceeded expectations.... which were already high! Exploring the grounds and buildings was a blast and super interesting. Being able to roam around this place that was once so different was a once in a lifetime thing. Really enjoyed it. I ran into staff members who enhanced the experience a lot with their friendliness and conversation. We stayed at the Mountain View Tenterr site, which was great. If youre interested in urban exploring sort of things, its a must do.

Bailiwick Animal Park and Riding Stables - Catskill

Lionel Jenkins: I was there over the weekend for Cinco de Mayo they had a food truck there. Serving Mexican food was outrageous and also they had a margarita bar set up. Plus youre able to walk around the park to see the different animal. It was fun. Nice people that run the place so if he in the area I recommend going plus they had horseback riding

Kaaterskill Wild Forest - Saugerties

Sompob Prasertkun: I’ve seen this in the picture for awhile. My friend took me there. It was about 2 hours drive from nyc in Catskills area. She said parking lot would be so full on weekends. We start walking to see the overlook first. Then continue to walk down to the lower part. The trail is in good condition. We went on a dry day. I imagine it will be very slippery when it rains. Walk was pleasant. Then we walk up to see each level. You can enjoy dipping your feet in the water or you can go down to play in the water. Is such a beautiful place. I highly recommend. But be ready to walk upstairs take your time because it could be steep. You might lose your breasts. Hope you enjoy.
