Duncan Appleby: I only found out that Graingers house was here 3 days before I came to visit a friend in White Plains. The secretary of the Grainger society gave me a personal tour and - amazingly - invited me to play the piano! I enjoyed the visit, despite the cold (they leave the heat off in winter). I hope to be back some day, better prepared and in warmer weather!

Safiya Faustin: Whether youre there with kids, your dog, or just adults, this is a great place for a walk, playground, or beautiful photos. Walk around the quad, climb the nearly 200 stairs up the dam, walk across, or go for a hike further in. There is so much to pique a curious spirit.

Saranya: A wonderful place for kids and nature lovers! The kids really enjoyed the hands-on experience—especially seeing the tortoise, rat snake, birds, owl, and other reptiles up close. There’s a peaceful nature walk. enjoyed the fresh air. Its a great place for a family picnic too—lots of space and shade. Everything is well-maintained.

DoriLynne Collins: My family and I are into the paranormal and supernatural. When we saw the amount of history here, we reached out to see if we could do a bit of paranormal investigating. The president was very enthusiastic about allowing us to. They were very welcoming and shared what theyve experienced themselves as well as told us the history of the building and place. My family and I had so much fun and loved our experience here. They also told us of some places to try and we were happy they did. I would definitely reccomend visiting and enjoy the history here.

Steven Sanmarco: Nice family friendly Park, recently constructed buildings including the restroom and rec areas. The playground is also pretty new, within the last 10 years I do believe. Adequate parking, though it can fill up in the Summer time. The only reason I dont give it five stars is the steep downgrade to the water, I would not call it handicap accessible at all (To the water, playground and buildings are very handicap accessible, its just the topography of the land that makes it hard, I have bad knees, back and hips and would prefer not to walk down the hill myself for safetys sake, not that it is not maintained well, they do a fine job, it is just not a hill I feel safe on. Wonderful lake, warm water, I used to enjoy it when I still could. I enjoy shooting photos from the parking lot mostly in the Fall. The park is conveniently adjacent to a marina, who sells all sorts of, products to enjoy on the lake from waterskis, tow behind boat tube and other air filled apparati, to snorkeling gear and of course offers boat slips and repair as well as parts for the do it yourselfers.
