Beautiful views, plenty of picnic tables, bathroom, playground, informative signs and two binoculars. I look forward to more picnics there! Just beware of a wasp nest in the ground and strong dead fish smell among the rocks.
MLK Jr. Park - Buffalo Ahmadur Rahman: MLK Jr. Park is a beautiful and peaceful place in Buffalo. It has a lot of open space, trees, and walking paths — perfect for relaxing, spending time with family, or just enjoying nature. In the winter, the splash pad turns into an ice skating rink, which is really nice for the community.
Its a historic and important park named after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and its a great spot for both fun and reflection. I really enjoy visiting this park.
Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy - Buffalo Sue Z Puggins: Visited for our friends wedding. The park was pretty and well landscaped. However, before the wedding started I noticed the womans bathroom garbage was overflowing onto the floor. When I asked the park worker to please change it I was told thats not their job!! Really Buffalo Parks department!? I thought we were past the big paycheck and amazing benefits and minimal work!! I had to ask the caterer to please take care of it. She did. Thank you Edible Crush Catering!! The Wedding was a success and the food amazing!
Black Rock Canal Park - Buffalo Roxanne Avery: Nice location and view. Dog park needs more grass and a water fountain. Dont bother trying to fish here way too much seaweed. You will lose your line and everything on it. There is a portable potty across the street.
Michigan Street African American - Buffalo Ronald Claydon: OUR HERIRAGE IS STEEPED IN THE LIVES OF THE HEROES OF History. We need to boast to the World How we as Americans are blessed to be Leaders in advancing Society & live personsto greatness
Oldest Tree In Buffalo - Buffalo Callum La 2: The Giant of Buffalo
In Buffalo’s breeze where the lake winds roam,
Stands a sentinel tree in its earthen home.
Its bark holds stories in rugged grain,
Of winters endured and summer rain.
Broad arms stretch to the vaulted sky,
Cradling crows as they circle high.
Roots run deep in the citys skin,
Holding secrets tucked within.
Children laugh beneath its shade,
Old folks nod in memories made.
Couples carve hearts in its ancient bark,
A living witness to every spark.
Its not just size that makes it grand,
But the years it’s held this land.
A chapel, a refuge, a timeless shrine—
The largest tree, and Buffalo’s spine.
So when you pass it, pause and see
More than branches—a legacy.
A breathing relic, proud and free,
The soul of Buffalo, in a tree.
Buffalo Main Lighthouse - Buffalo John Hsieh: The functional lighthouse at the mouth of Buffalo River. The best view of the lighthouse is from the pedestrian footpath on the Eastern bank of Buffalo River. It was just a quick detour to the north from visiting the main attraction of the Naval and Military Park. Unfortunately, the lighthouse itself is located at a coast guard station and is not easily accessible to the public. You will have to pay a small fee at the Bike Ferry near the Naval & Military Park to get to the actual lighthouse.
Delaware Park Rose Garden - Buffalo Am: So cute and pretty. Still nice to come to even in the winter. It looks like they have tags for the different rose bushes so you know what youre looking at, thats a good idea. There are a few benches here too, which is nice when you want to just sit and enjoy some peace
