Oldest Tree In Buffalo - Buffalo
    Oldest Tree In Buffalo
Callum La 2: The Giant of Buffalo In Buffalo’s breeze where the lake winds roam, Stands a sentinel tree in its earthen home. Its bark holds stories in rugged grain, Of winters endured and summer rain. Broad arms stretch to the vaulted sky, Cradling crows as they circle high. Roots run deep in the citys skin, Holding secrets tucked within. Children laugh beneath its shade, Old folks nod in memories made. Couples carve hearts in its ancient bark, A living witness to every spark. Its not just size that makes it grand, But the years it’s held this land. A chapel, a refuge, a timeless shrine— The largest tree, and Buffalo’s spine. So when you pass it, pause and see More than branches—a legacy. A breathing relic, proud and free, The soul of Buffalo, in a tree.
    Buffalo Main Lighthouse - Buffalo
    Buffalo Main Lighthouse
John Hsieh: The functional lighthouse at the mouth of Buffalo River. The best view of the lighthouse is from the pedestrian footpath on the Eastern bank of Buffalo River. It was just a quick detour to the north from visiting the main attraction of the Naval and Military Park. Unfortunately, the lighthouse itself is located at a coast guard station and is not easily accessible to the public. You will have to pay a small fee at the Bike Ferry near the Naval & Military Park to get to the actual lighthouse.

Am: So cute and pretty. Still nice to come to even in the winter. It looks like they have tags for the different rose bushes so you know what youre looking at, thats a good idea. There are a few benches here too, which is nice when you want to just sit and enjoy some peace
    Black Rock Lock - Buffalo
    Black Rock Lock
John Hsieh: An actual functional boat lock leading to the Black Rock Canal. A great sight to see while visiting Unity Island Park. The entrance of the lock is accessible by foot paths from the park. The lock itself is access controlled, but you can still see the occasional small boats pass by. Not sure if its a great spot for fishing with all the boats passing by, but there was somebody sitting at the end of the pier trying to catch something...
Our Lady of Victory National Shrine & Basilica - Lackawanna
Our Lady of Victory National Shrine & Basilica
Helen Kish: Such a beautiful shrine. It’s hard to believe this church is in the United States! This was my second visit, and the church was so wonderfully decorated for the Christmas season. There was a beautiful nativity scene and many poinsettias placed around the altar. In the basement there were many nativity scenes from around the world on display. The museum is amazing as well! Very informative, and such a great and moving story.
    Goat Island -
    Goat Island
Katie Miller: This was the best part of the park to view the falls. The Falls are beautiful and could watch them all day. The park was crowded but it is so large it did not feel crowded. Parking on Goat Island was $15 and there was plenty of parking. From the lot, it was a short walk to the falls. There was a cafe and gift shop nearby. Next time we visit, would love to do the Maid of the Mist as that looked like an awesome attraction to see the falls from a boat. So glad we were able to see this in person!
