Callan Family Care - Copake (NY)

5 /5 Lisa Jarvis: This group has been my general practice provider for 17 years. The service has only gotten better with the move to the new facility which includes x-ray on the premises. Dr. Johnson is the kind of old-fashioned GP one doesnt see much of anymore-Always takes time to ask in depth questions and provide comprehensive care. In addition, the pricing is fair and I have never waited more than 15 minutes to be taken in. I dont know what the bad reviewers are on about...I can go to any GP I want and I am still here at Callan/CMH

3 /5 Zita Kobos: Saddens me to write this as the care here is O.K. and we have used the Rapid Emergency Care. The problem I have is trying to call the office to cancel an appointment. Repeatedly asked if I could be put on hold and before I could answer I was put on hold. Called EIGHT times in 30 minutes and still couldnt get through. Needed to cancel an appointment. Ridiculous, if one receptionist isnt enough than hire another one.

5 /5 scott steibel: I’m very happy with Dr. Johnson. I’ve had a long-standing medical issue that I’ve kinda blown off. Once Dr Johnson caught wind of this problem, he educated me as to the need to give this matter the attention it warrants. He made some calls himself to discuss this with a cardiologist and had his staff set up appointments with the cardiologist and a neurologist. Even took the tie to make sure they both participate in my insurance. And he’s seeing me on a regular follow up basis to “quarterback “ my care. I also find he takes the time to listen and explain. Not sure what else to ask for in a primary care provider Yes sometimes there is a wait, but most times there isn’t My strategy with many doctors is to call ahead, most offices will tell you if the doctor is running late

5 /5 Susan McAvoy: I am a patient. The office staff is friendly yet professional. As for the other reviewer saying they are slow, the doctor spends time with his patients discussing best health treatments. I would definitely recommend this practice.

1 /5 Abigail_**_Sears: Unfortunately, I need to give this practice a bad review and rate them 1 star. The doctors themselves are very nice but most of the other staff are very snotty. I was told one day that I should have never been checked in because I didnt have my $25 copayment. So because I didnt have $25 I shouldnt have been seen. That is ridiculous!!!! My other complaint is, I was seen on July 18,2017 and was prescribed a medication to help me quit smoking, here it is August 24th and my prescription still hasnt made it to the pharmacy. Its been over a month! PATHETIC! I keep calling and all they say is, Im sorry we will send it over again. Plus the wait there is ridiculous. I would say the wait is AT LEAST an hr and a half. From my experience. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Sorry but not sorry!
