Cascadilla Gorge Trail - Ithaca (NY)

5 /5 Christine Medina: As a Floridian, its hard to wrap my head around how this gorge goes through the town and the college campus. It was a very beautiful trail that had wonderful sights. I felt very relax although my used-to-being-at-sea-level self struggled on the stairs back up from the gorge. This trail did not disappoint! There are many areas where you can choose to stop and recharge.

5 /5 Chris: Cascadilla Gorge Trail is absolutely stunning! The trail winds right through the heart of Ithaca, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and easy access. The stone stairways and walkways make the hike manageable for most people, and the series of cascading waterfalls are simply breathtaking. It feels like stepping into a peaceful oasis, especially with the sound of rushing water all around. It’s well-maintained and clearly marked, and the views just keep getting better as you go. A must-visit if youre in the area — I’d happily come back again and again.

5 /5 Evan Smith: Absolutely stunning from start to finish. We started at the bottom of the gorge on Courtland street and made our way all the way to the top where the trail ends at Cornell. Beautiful, serene, calming, this is such a gem and so close to downtown Ithaca. Definitely don’t skip on this one, the uphill step climb can be a bit challenging but it’s definitely worth the effort.

5 /5 Erik Covert: This was an awesome spot. Highly recommended! There is no parking lot from what I saw so we parked on a residential street and walked the gorge. Wasnt to crowded on an August morning. Definitely worth the hike!
