  • Alice Austen Park - Staten Island
    Alice Austen Park
Jon Bloom: We have not spent much time on Staten Island, and like many people, have fallen into the trap of stereotyping it based on ignorant comments. Alice Austen Park dispelled all stereotypes. It was absolutely beautiful and tranquil. We had a great day there and we would love to go back soon. And what a great view of the Verrazano Bridge and Manhattan!
Silver Lake Park - Staten Island
    Silver Lake Park
Alyssa Sexton: The best place to run walk and just have a chill day but most importantly get married. I was so happy when they reopened the road because I didnt have to walk far in my heels. I also paid for a 2 hour permit......
Carousel For All Children - Staten Island
    Carousel For All Children
Mark Zimmerman: What a treasure to have this carousel right here on Staten Island. The staff was so excited to see my 20 year old Multiple Ride Voucher (and yes, still good!). It was a $20 value for 20 rides back then, the current price is $50, its a good deal if you have a few kids or visit the park frequently. On that note...sad to say the adjoining playground is awefully rundown (maybe Ill do a separate review). Willowbrook Park is still nice for a stroll around the pond (or is it a lake..no swimming! And fishing requires a permit). Back to the carousel....the ride is beautifully decorated with Staten Island landmarks and ride-on animals (both static and moving animals are available). The "ride-ons" include the traditional horses, wild animals, and a few fantasy creatures. If climbing is an issue theres an accommodating sit down feature with benches (not saddles). Fair warning; there is a souvenir stand and ice cream treats freezer on the site. So if you have a child who "has to have or else" bring some extra cash (and napkins or wipes). Free baby tip: we brought a baby spoon from home (for the ice cream, and they dont have cups! On a stick variety or the sandwich kind) because I didnt want to use a plastic spoon (if they had?), sometimes those have sharp edges. Parking near the carousel is limited. If the lot is full, drive past the carousel to the picnic side parking. Anyway...go and enjoy! (Look for the old ticket vouchers on display inside the ticket booth)
Wolfes Pond Park - Staten Island
    Wolfes Pond Park
Frank Reyes: Small trail loop through park and then another through the woods which is really nice. Lots of playgrounds for younger kids, but they’re not elaborate. Seriously though what do you need…swings and grass for kids. Lots of families and guarded beach area.

Adam Beck: Super fun after seeing the eastern most point of New York City
Blue Heron Park - Staten Island
    Blue Heron Park
charles ciccolella: Found this park in Staten Island, only went through part of the park but its clean, several trails, saw different species of birds, everyone that I meet usually say hello. One problem is there isnt any sign telling you where the park is.

    Wu-Tang Clan Mural
Marlon Brown: A must visit if u are a Wu-Tang fan!
Staten Island Museum - Staten Island
    Staten Island Museum
Austin Rome (DADDYROME): I brought my nephews here they had a great time. Beautiful museum, small but excellent design and setup. This whole area is amazing so much history. I cant wait to til the spring really comes in, to walk around the grounds. I learned about the Black Angels never heard about them before my visit. Snug harbor is a Staten Island gem.
Staten Island Boat Graveyard - Staten Island
    Staten Island Boat Graveyard
John Loughran: Sits in a sandbar off the Arthur Kill shipping channel.Easiest entrance by foot is thru adjacent Blazing Star cemetery and down a thorny path. Best time to go is March/April or October/November and wear boots being it is marshy grassland. I even found a football and I took it to the house …
    Kreischer Mansion - Staten Island
    Kreischer Mansion
HAUNT Reviews: This haunt was not scary. It was more like you entered into rooms and they did little skits. This is not your pop out high intensity haunt! The hayride was basic and short but the actors saved it!! VERY cool creepy vibe! The house was the best attraction of the night. To be honest, I would revisit just because it’s such a cool place. The staff was into it and actors good! Would vist if you live close to the area! Alex
