3 /5 The Rev. J. Gary Brinn: I found Stacy at Cutting Crew three years ago when I arrived to serve a historic church. I was delighted with her work, and to discover that she also cut the hair of my new friend, the local rabbi. I continue to appreciate the quality of Stacys work. When I called this week to make an appointment with Stacy, the manager, Kristen, set me up for 10:00am on Friday. Since I often come in on Friday (my day off), I thought nothing of it. When I arrived, Stacy was nowhere in sight, and Kristen identified me by name and indicated she would be cutting my hair. It felt very clearly like a bait-and-switch attempt to poach customers. Since I am an elected official in addition to my role as pastor, I am aware that what I do in public matters. I indicated that I would re-schedule when Stacy was available, which we did. I thanked Kristen and left. I dont know if the turn-over and toxicity in the salon is characteristic of the industry, but I do know that if Stacy goes, so will I.
