4 /5 Elise Hinman: Ive always had positive experiences at Berry Good Dental. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The space is clean and well-organized. I have had my teeth cleaned ~3 times, received two fillings, and recently had my first root canal, all at Berry Good. Zina is pleasant, confident, and caring. Her work is top-notch.
The reason for 4 and not 5 stars: I had a tooth that was bothering me for a while that I initially believed to be a tooth that recently had a cavity filled. I told the dental hygienist cleaning my teeth about this issue, and she mentioned an X-ray, but it never happened because the dentist suggested (a) I get a mouth guard because my grinding habit could be causing the sensitivity, and (b) I just get that tooth re-filled with a base. The day of the re-filling, I realized that the pain wasnt coming from the tooth they were preparing to re-fill, it was the one next to it. I mentioned this to the dental hygienist, but I was also questioning whether I was going crazy/my nerves were making me lose my mind just prior to the local anesthetic. She said "Well, well re-fill this one and if it isnt the problem, well check out the other one." As I walked out post-filling, I knew that they had worked on the wrong tooth. I was upset, but this may be more my fault than the dentists fault: I was initially reporting it was the filled tooth. I guess I just had hoped they would investigate where the pain was coming from rather than just moving forward with the initial plan despite more information. I just wasted $80 and 30 min of Zinas time. Fast forward to the follow-up, where I told Zina my adjacent tooth was definitely the problem. After X-rays, they established that I indeed needed a root canal on the painful tooth--finally! Zina changed her schedule the following day to perform the root canal, because she knew I was going on vacation. I AM SO THANKFUL FOR THIS.
Overall, I would recommend Berry Good Dental to others. In addition to being a well-run establishment, its walking distance from SU.
