1 /5 Jade McNeely: We had to switch dental offices due to insurance change. We switched to great beginnings with Dr. MARIA LAURA YBARRA. In October at a cleaning 2 of 3 kids being seen were given extensive treatment plans. After calling repeatedly one child was finally scheduled for in office treatment. The other needed O.R procedures. In office treatment was scheduled 4 months out. To treat cavities(ridiculous)! The O.R treatments still have yet to be scheduled 7 months later. The child needing said O.R treatments was being seen every 3 months for cleanings until he could get in to have his work done. I’ve called at least every month and inquired while in office. My son complains of pain during cleanings and nothing is done. No phone calls back, they just pass you off and collect the insurance check. The scheduling is horrible, poor time management, completely unprofessional. This is neglect and malpractice. Not being treated in a timely manor which could cause the loss of his teeth where if they were taken care of promptly that wouldn’t be the case. I’ve filed formal complaints with NYS dental board. This is unacceptable. Neglecting children’s teeth when you’re a dentist is mind blowing. I’ve since removed my kiddos from this house of horrors of a practice. They may be aesthetically pleasing and look good, quality of care for my children mean more to me than a pretty fish tank and matching scrubs and color coded rooms.
