The team ensures that every client receives a warm welcome as soon as they walk in the door and provides excellent service. Christy always gives me a fantastic cut and color, even when I have no idea what I want to do next with my hair. She also did the most amazing style for me for my wedding.
Total Image Hair & Nail Salon - Elmira Melanie Lamotte: I made an appointment at Total Image because my last hairdresser moved to a new location. I was a little worried (as we all are) about going somewhere new. I can say that my worries were soon put to rest. The staff is extremely friendly and welcomed me with open arms. No regrets. A special shout out to Michelle who is excellent in what she does. Thank you!
Head Games Hair Salon - Elmira Alexandra Bailey: Had an appointment set, even showed up early. Walked in to be told about the stylist having a dr appointment and she didnt call us to tell us. We waited a half hour past our appointment time and expected time for the stylist to come back. She didnt show up so we just left. Very unprofessional. Felt uncomfortable there anyway, not clean. Made an appointment somewhere else.
New Dimensions - Elmira Matthew R: I love Jim and Tong so much, they are such wonderful stylists. As a man going into a female dominant venue for hair care, I feel at ease and most importantly comfortable in my own skin when visiting New Dimensions in Elmira. 5/5
Reflections Unlimited By Kathy - Elmira Summer Hollister: Brought my oldest 2 kiddos in for a cut today! My daughter has never had a hair cut and wanted her first, she absolutely loves it and so does my son! Kathy was very nice and the prices are great! Will definitely be going back!
KB Beauty - Elmira Andi Rasmussen: The first impression was great. its a cute little shop, and the employee I spoke with seemed nice. She booked me a month out, which was fine, I explained we were taking a trip a few days after the appointment, and my son wanted his hair done before the vacation. I gladly paid the deposit and put my info in her phone. Day of the appointment she texts me and says she made a mistake and didnt book the right amount of time for his apointment and the next day shed do it and it was her last appointment of the day. I know mistakes happen, I had to work, but I got my shift covered so I could take an early lunch and bring him. That next day, I leave work, my sons home waiting for me, and I receive another text right before the appointment saying she has a headache and will have to see us tomorrow. I told her we leave tomorrow night, and she said shell do it early and discount his service. Well, the next day, she ignored me all day until the evening and said she wasnt doing any hair until later that week. She ignored me when I asked for my deposit back. We got back from our trip a week later, and I still gave her the opportunity to do his hair. Her response was only to refund me, and I had to harass her for 2 weeks to get my deposit back. I know there isnt many options for locticians and braiders in this area, but this aint it. Ive also spoken to many others with similar experiences.
NY Hair Studio - Elmira Heights Adia Carr: Iris is truly a magician (and a sweetheart).. She is the ONLY stylist I have been able to find locally who is able to work with my hair.
His & Hers Hair Stuido - Elmira Greg Wheeler: Did great in my youngest son however the older ones hair was taken really short and my hair he did it in 5 minutes ended up missing spots that I noticed after a few days so had to trim areas that were missed definitely wasn’t worth the high prices
Unfortunately I will be looking for another barber for all 3 of us
Allure Salon - Elmira Amy Bell: I will not be back to Allure, I removed my mask so the stylist could cut around my ears, the owner was very unprofessional about the issue, I was going to put my mask right back on! She went back to my stylist while she was mixing my color and was talking badly about me, yelling she cares if no one else does, talking about me. Again handled it very unprofessional. Not to mention the salon is always filthy. Really, yelling at a patron while the dust is an inch thick on everything, a not so fresh hair ball was floating around the floor and the windows are always dirty. The floor, let’s go back to that! It’s always disgusting, dirty. So if I go back to my stylist I will be getting my hair done in my nice clean home. You can keep your ghetto salon, I’m good.
