T-Gardens New York Hair Salon - New York Heather McCalden: It’s always a joy visiting T-Gardens! My stylist is Min, who is truly exceptional. I’ve seen her twice for Japanese straightening and both times I’ve left the salon feeling like a model. I have extremely long hair, which Min treats with care - and devotion. It’s clear hair is a passion and not just a job. Her attention to detail is unrivalled! I completely recommend her and the salon : )
SHAIR NYC - New York Jiao Zhou: I went to this place for a simple bang cut yesterday. I showed them the picture I wanted (as seen in the first picture) and told the stylist(Kazunori) that my hair is curved, so he might need to straighten it before cutting. However, he said it was fine and cut my hair in just 5 minutes.
After he finished, I felt the shape looked a bit odd, but he assured me it was correct. Today, when I woke up, I noticed that no matter how I styled my hair, the middle part was longer than the left and right sides. I called the salon to ask if they could fix it for me, as the correction would take less than 5 minutes. However, they told me the stylist wasn’t working that day.
Since I really hated how my bangs looked, I asked if anyone else could fix them, given it was such a simple adjustment. They told me I’d have to wait. Frustrated, I ended up fixing my bangs myself.
I do not recommend this place to anyone if they can’t even get a simple bang cut right.
I tried to fix my bangs and booked another appointment at their Union Square location because I trusted a stylist I had worked with before. However, the manager at that location called me and canceled my appointment, claiming it was because I left a bad review for their Greenwich Village location. This is completely unprofessional and caused me even more inconvenience. Instead of addressing the issues that led to my review, they chose to punish me as a customer. Unbelievable!

Nelly is a professional! She gave me deep analysis of my hair using special technology and helped me to find a best cosmetics for treatment. After one month use I was surprised, how cleaner and stronger my hair became. I decided to do scalp detox then, in order to completely recover them. Result was even more surprising. She explained me, how keratin and scalp help each other for better efficiency. Keratin could damage my weak hair without detox, but doing keratin after that treatment will even make the healing effect last for long, because protein under high temperature covered scalp detox and now my hair is strong, shiny and gorgeous. Observing my hair a week after procedure, I found Nelly’s job done brilliantly. I can tell, because usually a week after procedure hair behaves different way after different salons. I’m grateful to finally find a right specialist in New-York!
Honeybliss Salon - New York Isabella Lopez: Honeybliss salon is an amazing salon on the UES! I went into the first appointment unsure of what I wanted to do and Kadir the stylist guided me on what would be best. I did not like the outcome of my hair and they were happy to rebook an appointment. It was not a cheap process overall but I am glad I went back and got the hair I asked for. They use only Oribe products which is amazing. I would highly recommend and they are very detail oriented!
RH Plus Salon - New York Trisha D: Reiko is the best. She consistently cuts my hair just as I ask for and it looks great the duration of the few months between cuts. I am so grateful to have found her via a friends recommendation a few years ago.
David Ryan Salon - New York KARINA GRETCHEN SUTHERLAND: Quality at the top, the best of the best. Madion Russo is the best stylist color and haircut design in all Hells Kitchen area, not only did a spectacular balayage perfect blending color but also my hair didn’t dry at all with the process, I absolutely recommend him.
Pearl Hair Salon - New York Martyna Chrzanowska: Super overpriced for what it is. The owner tried (unsuccessfully) to charge me more because I came in with long hair even though I wanted it cut in a ponytail for donation. I spent almost a $100 (even with a groupon) for a haircut that should’ve cost $25. The blowout was rushed and bad. The stylist herself did a good job on the cut but the experience was quick and not the luxurious experience I expected.
GS Blow Dry Bar Midtown New York City - New York Meredith Hirsh: Rosa was fabulous. I told her that I wanted to have beachy waves and she used a flat iron like I’ve never seen one used. Such fabulous curl. And, what a sweetheart! I’m in from out of town and have an event tonight and was looking for a blow dry studio in the area. The reviews prior to mine were fabulous and so was my experience.
Vu Hair - New York Annika Prinz: A beautiful salon with the best hair services! I’ve gotten my hair blowdried by Vu and it’s honestly the best blowdry I’ve ever gotten. Seth is an incredible colorist and I can always trust him to do an amazing job!! So happy to have found this spot in NYC!
