1 /5 Jessica Whatts: Since the original owner has left, this car mechanic has been no good, unprofessional, and unreliable. They do not calm responsibility for any work they do. They only function by appointment even for an inspection. They tell you one price then they call you with another. They say your car is "Gucci" and it still doesnt work right. My car since it has left the shop has the check engine light that goes on and off. When you ask for them to resolve they say you have to wait and that they did you a favor. When I paid my repairs it wasnt a favor it was a job. I recommend any new customers not to waste your time.

1 /5 DeDe Howell: Absolutely horrible! For many years, my company utilized this local auto repair shop for our fleet of vehicles. I had heard rumors that the service had gone down once the service crew changed from the oldest Santana to the younger generation of family members, but I’d never had an issue having my inspections done there, but I also had never had major work done either. I did not give much thought to my need for new brake pads, but was extremely surprised to be told that all four of my rotors needed to be replaced. Trusting the history, I agreed to allowed the service to be done. I was happy to know that the work had been repaired before the close of business. Less than a month later I noticed that my brakes were still stopping with great rigidness, and then on a rainy day when I nearly skidded it into another vehicle. I stopped at a Pep Boys shop close to my destination. The technician was in a state of shock when he checked my breaks & rotors he noticed that the rotors had not been changed since I purchased the vehicle in 2018! I needed to see for myself. He allowed me into the back to show me the rusted & disgusting parts that had been removed from my vehicle which also included the brake pads. I was livid! I paid Santana over $1000 for the work & was now facing an additional $1500 to have the work done properly. I held on to my receipt from this Bronx chop shop that is clearly marked “BRAND NEW PARTS” but I prayed for months because I work in law-enforcement & the last place I enjoy being is in anyone’s courthouse. The best course of action is to FOREWARN everyone to stay AWAY from Santana’s. I will continue to post my review wherever possible. You all are the most dishonest people I’ve ever met!

5 /5 Ismael Nieves: A few weeks ago, I noticed the headlights on the left side of my car weren’t working properly. I decided to take it to a random auto shop called “Bronx Muffler,” where they replaced the battery with a new one. After that, the headlights worked fine—until about two weeks later, when the same issue started happening again. It was frustrating, and I didn’t want to deal with the same auto shop again, so I decided to look for a different place to get it fixed. I reached out to a good friend of mine, who works at an auto shop called “J & Santana Auto Repair.” When I went by the shop today, I caught up with her and explained the situation. She listened carefully and understood my frustration completely. She’s a real genuine, humble, and independent person who truly knows her stuff. She’ll tell you exactly what’s wrong with your car and make sure it gets fixed the right way. When I told her about my experience with the previous shop, she didn’t hold back. Vivian, the mechanic I spoke to, explained that some auto shops take advantage of their customers, and unfortunately, I had been one of those customers. She reassured me not to worry, as she would personally take care of the problem and have one of her team members resolve it. To make a long story short, once the work was completed, everything worked perfectly. To my surprise, Vivian only charged me $120 plus taxes, bringing the total to $136.09. I was shocked, especially since she told me this type of repair would normally cost over $220 at most places. Vivian was empathetic toward my situation—having been pulled over twice in one night by the NYPD, who gave me 24 hours to fix the issue—and she really looked out for me. I’ll always be grateful for her kindness and the fact that I found her and her shop. Vivian and her team at J & Santana Auto Repair are the only auto repair shop I trust without a doubt. Unlike other places that try to take advantage of customers or overcharge, Vivian and her team are honest, reliable, and genuinely care about their customers. The prices are fair, and they get straight to the point without wasting time. To anyone who’s unsure where to go or who to trust with their car repairs, I promise you, if you come to J & Santana Auto Repair, you won’t regret it.
