5 /5 Mary Campagnano: I was referred to Dr Levine by my Albany ENT. The doctor’s team personally worked with me to navigate my out of network insurance pre-approval process. The practice is friendly, appointments taken on time. The preliminary testing was informative and MAD device fitting was smooth. The doctor’s incremental approach of small adjustments every 2-3 weeks allowed me to get acquainted to the device without discomfort. The entire experience was positive and I am happy with the results.

David Kreis: We have been patients of this practice for several years and loved them. However, we just received an email stating they no longer accept 27 different insurance plans (including ours.) YES THAT IS CORRECT...27 insurance companies they no longer wish to deal with. They did indicate in their letter that if you dont have insurance they would offer a 10% discount to veterans and seniors. Ironic because my insurance is through the military (that they no longer accept.) We are finding this with more and more providers. However, the patients are caught in the middle. Paying for expensive insurance that suddenly no one accepts. It would seem to be a poor business model. One or two problematic insurance carriers- fine. But 27 seems excessive. I wish them the very best of luck but am quite confident their appointment book will now include quite a few openings as patients find other providers willing to accept insurance.

Dr. M is the coolest dentist but he’s the only dentist I have ever had so maybe I’m biased. Amazing receptionist everyone is friendly. It’s very clean in there and I never leave unhappy definitely check it out.

Jim Sherman: After a considerable wait, the female orthodontist began by spending nearly five minutes disparaging a hygienist she had worked with to the one she currently was to be assisted by. I say assisted rather than assisting as during this time I was totally ignored. When she finally got around to dealing with my issue (replacing a crown) i found her to be distracted as she again began denigrating the aforementioned hygienist. Her work seemed fine although she insisted on telling me how good my bite was when I was trying to tell her it wasn’t. Apparently she could evaluate it better from the outside than I could from actually experiencing it. Suffice to say, when scheduling future appointments I will request a different orthodontist.

Erica Rutkowski: TLDR; 10/10 experience. I have never felt as comfortable to attend a dentist appointment than my visit to Zappia & Fryer. Everyone is so incredibly kind and truly happy to help you. This space doesnt have the "stressful" vibe youd typically associate with a dentists office. Its clear doctors Fryer and Zappia have YOUR best interest at the forefront of their minds. Their hygienists are patient, personable, answer all questions thoroughly to ensure your complete understanding (thank you so much, Tatiana), explain what theyre doing, why theyre doing it, and why its important. A unique, uplifting atmosphere exists here that I am so thankful to have experienced. If youre not satisfied with your current dental care, I wouldnt hesitate to suggest visiting 1 Pine West Plaza :)

Claudia: Ive been seeing Dr. Arvin for quite a number of years now. He and his staff are wonderful. Dr. Arvin does great work and is personable and compassionate. My dental history has been complicated, so Im so grateful for all that Dr. Arvin and his team have done for me. He helped bring me back to some level of normalcy. FYA: Someone left a horrible review about 4 weeks ago that could probably be considered defamation. I reported it. Even if it was somewhat true, they should have gone directly to the ER. I wouldnt be surprised if Dr. Arvins team advised the same.
