Mels Service - Lockport (NY)

5 /5 Cassidy Mcghee: I was recommended to Mels service when I reached out to another local mechanic for an appointment that happened to be closing down. I am a young woman just learning about cars on my own and was trying to find a reliable, honest mechanic. I have taken my Chevy Cruze to Mels service multiple times for work and diags. I had been taking my car to the dealership but felt like I was being taken advantage of. John (I believe) was always honest and upfront and took care of any problems I have had. The most recent time I took it in for a diag on an oil leak, he had me come back twice throughout the week before telling me to go back to the dealership who had just previously worked on my car because I shouldnt have to pay after having this part replaced recently. I did not end up paying a penny for anything thanks to his advice.

5 /5 David Cummings: Had my car towed to Mel’s a couple weeks back. Had a low oil pressure warning coming up on the dash of my Chevy Cruze. Only took them about 3 days to diagnose it and work on it. They replaced the oil pressure switch and also fixed a coolant leak whilst they were at it. Price was fair and it was nice not having a mechanic/service writer try to upsell me on things and just fixing what needed to be fixed. Will be back.

Service is fast and you cant find more honest people anywhere else. I live in wheat field and there are lots of mechanics much closer to my house but I will never take my car anywhere else but Mels. Thank god for this business.

5 /5 William Bisher: Mels is the place to go. They understand what it is like to have a budget and they will work with you as much as they possibly can without sacrificing safety or standards. They listen to your concerns and communicate the issues to you well. They NEVER try to upsell to make money. They fix what is needed without draining your pocket. I have been going to them for years and will continue as long as they are in business. COMPLETELY TRUSTWORTHY and the nicest people. A+++++
